The La Vie en Rose Rosé 2020 is a quite beautifully packaged pink that we reckon could rub shoulders with the famous (and pricey) rosés of Provence — insane value! Made from delicious Cinsault grapes, this wine has plenty of citrus quality — in particular, a pithy grapefruit vibe with oodles of freshness. This wine screams summertime! And we can all agree that a slurp-able slice of summer is exactly what we need this time of year.

We adore this sort of wine. It’s a little more restrained with the alcohol level (9.5%), complete with a touch of refreshing spritz! The nose is enticing, with candied lime peel and a peachy character, in the mouth, this is as easy as you like, with more sweet limey-ness and a fabulous purity.

Since it became a legal thing, we just can’t get enough of pink Prosecco, and we have added one more to the ranks from the talented team over at Cielo e Terra in Veneto. Introducing the ‘Casa Defra’ Prosecco Rosé NV. This is an attractive pink Prosecco of serious value. Expect sweet strawberry fruit supported by a lovely stemmy, almost green character which carries over to the palate making for a sparkler with plenty of tension and a beautiful fruit profile.
