Sit Here: The FlexiSpot office chair reviewBy Claudine Levy
Finding the perfect office chair often feels like a choice between “corporate grey” and “teenage gaming neon,” so discovering the FlexiSpot Ergonomic Chair in Apricot (C7) was a genuine relief. As someone who values aesthetics as much as ergonomics, I wanted to share how this chair actually holds up in a real home-office setting.
A Lifestyle Statement in Apricot
The first thing that strikes you is the colourway. The Apricot hue is genuinely attractive and a sophisticated departure from the standard dark, heavy colours that dominate the market. It doesn’t just sit in the room; it elevates it. It feels like a curated lifestyle object rather than just a piece of office equipment, blending seamlessly into a modern home aesthetic while still looking professional. It’s rare to find a BIFMA-certified chair that doesn’t look like it belongs in a cubicle farm.
Breathable and Springy Comfort
The build quality is discernible in the mesh. The material is incredibly breathable, which is a lifesaver during long days chained to your desk. To the touch, the mesh feels surprisingly springy and resilient, providing a supportive “float” rather than a hard sink. Because it allows air to circulate so freely, I’ve noticed I stay much cooler throughout the day, avoiding that stifling feeling that often comes with leather or thick fabric upholstery.

Support and Fit
From a posture perspective, the lumbar support is the standout feature. It is solid and intentional, ensuring my spine stays properly aligned even when I’m deep into a project. It really helps keep my posture on point from morning until evening.
However, for women on the shorter side, there is one small caveat: the headrest. Even at its lowest setting, I found it sits slightly too high to hit the curve of my neck perfectly. While it’s still comfortable for leaning back during a break, it’s clearly designed with a slightly taller frame in mind. That said, the strength of the lumbar support and the overall comfort of the seat more than make up for this minor height discrepancy.
Overall, the C7 in Apricot is a rare find that manages to be both a high-performance ergonomic tool and a beautiful piece of furniture. It’s a functional investment that actually makes you happy to sit down at your desk.
