Old Fashioned Week 2021: Celebrate With Angel’s Envy WhiskeyBy Angelica Malin
Leading Louisville-made American whiskey ANGEL’S ENVY has collaborated with Batman-inspired bar Park Row, to create a limited-edition twist on the world’s best-selling classic cocktail for Old Fashioned Week, The Gentle-Man.
The classic Old Fashioned recipe of bourbon, simple syrup and bitters has been reimagined, using ANGEL’S ENVY Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in Port Wine Barrels – with its notes of ripe fruits, maple syrup and toasted nuts – a Gonzales Byass Pedro Ximénez and maple syrup nectar and black walnut bitters to finish, before being garnished with a red grape.

Just around the corner, Sketch London has brought their notable, artistic flair to this traditional cocktail to create the ALLTTA (A Little Lower Than The Angels). Choosing a combination of red port, muscovado syrup, Creole bitters and a chocolate pencil garnish, this riff on the Old Fashioned brings the hints of bitter chocolate of ANGEL’S ENVY to the fore.
