About Time: You Visited The Wine Circuit at Battersea Power StationBy Alicia Grimshaw
This June, Battersea Power Station will play host to The Wine Circuit, a three-day celebration of all things vino, running from 6th – 8th June. Blending playful tastings with serious wine chat, the riverside event promises something for both seasoned sommeliers and supermarket Savvy B fans.
The Wine Circuit: The Line-Up
Kicking off the weekend is Strictly Bangers, a Friday night mash-up of wine, quizzes and DJ sets. Hosted by Bar Levan’s Mark Gurney, alongside sommelier Paola Tich and Natalia Ribbe (Sete, Margate), the event will combine blind tastings with bangers on the decks. Tickets are £35 and include access to a carefully curated list of natural and low-intervention wines.
Saturday and Sunday feature a full-bodied programme of talks and tastings. Expect sessions on everything from alcohol-free options and British sparkling wines to natural winemaking and how to pick the perfect pale rosé. Guardian wine columnist Hannah Crosbie will be in conversation on Saturday, while other experts include Desiree Chantarasak (AngloThai), Sunny Hodge (Diogenes the Dog) and Libby Brodie (City A.M.).
The Wine Circuit: Food
For those who like their wine with a side of food, there’ll be pairings from pop-ups including From the Ashes BBQ, Tasca, Masa Tacos and Made of Dough. Meanwhile, Fallow’s offshoot Fowl will be dishing up fried chicken with frozen margs and wine towers.
The Wine Circuit: The Wine Cup
At the heart of the festival is The Wine Cup, where visitors can sample wines from independent producers before voting for their favourites. Tickets (£30) include a branded cup, tote bag and tasting card—because notes are essential once you hit your fifth Pinot.
With over 150 shops and restaurants also joining in, The Wine Circuit aims to turn Battersea into a one-stop grape escape for Londoners who fancy a taste of something new.
