This weekend sees a whole host of fun events for Londoners. We know you don’t like trawling through massive lists – so here’s our pick of 7 things we think it’s about time you tried this weekend. Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Instagram to get behind the scenes of what we’re doing, eating and loving in London:

1. Fairground London

We’ve got a lot of time for cool concepts and cocktails in jars. Haggerston’s weekend pop-up Fairground, by the creators of Street Feast, is running for 10 weekends. This Saturday sees a talk by the DAZED group on the future of video at 2pm in the Grandaad Lounge, and you can read more about it, and the concept, here.

Fairground is at 260-264 Kingsland Road London E8 4DG and runs 10 weekends from April 12th 2014

2. The Other Art Fair

The Other Art Fair is not just an art fair. London’s leading art event takes place this weekend, allowing you to buy directly from over 100 of the most talented, unrepresented artists – with over 100 unrepresented artists showcasing their work to 12,000 people. There’s also live performance art, free curated walks, acoustic music sessions and a bar to relax with a coffee or a refreshing cocktail away from the bustle of the fair. The fair is also offering (due to popular hipster demand) taxidermy classes, which you can read about here – it’s £70 a class, choose between mice or guinea pig and learn basic preserving techniques. Yikes.

The Other Art Fair is at Ambika P3, University of Westminster, 35 Marylebone Rd, London, United Kingdom NW1 5LS and runs 24 – 27 April 2014

3. Vegan Feast at Club Mexicana

Vegan food is all the rage at the moment – and this pop-up looks like a goodie. Showcasing exciting and inspired Mexican vegan food on Saturday nights in Hackney, you can expect a mixture of amazing food, Hackney-brewed beer and soda. They love their margaritas so much that they’re giving them away for free! They’ve also got gluten-free menus – just ask. Expect things like Mexican-inspired chill chocolate pots, and menu perve here.

Club Mexicana is in Hackney E5 until the 17th May 2014

4. World Brunch Club

What is World Brunch Club? Inspired by a mutual love of cooking and travel, Hackney-based Francesca Ter-Berg and Jessie Levene set up to create amazing themed brunches in various quirky London venues, including a houseboat, a warehouse and their own living room. This weekend the duo are serving a vegetarian brunch inspired by Georgia with live music from Jamie Doe from the Magic Lantern. This Sunday’s feast is a vegetarian extravaganza – you get 3 course meal which includes soft drinks for a tidy £17.50.

World Brunch Club takes place on 27 April 11am-2pm at 152-156 Lower Clapton Rd, London E5 0QJ. Tickets are £17.50 and you can book here.

5. Brixton Night Market

This one’s got soul. Brixton night market is the brainchild of T Jennings & Co C.I.C – and is a community project created to support local traders and street traders, especially those finding it hard to get spaces in Lambeth. There’s going to be entertainment, real street food, arts and crafts – and it’s all helping to support the local economy and promote ethical choices. Delicious stuff.

Brixton Night Market is at Windrush Square, Brixton Road, London SW2 1JQ on Friday, 25th April 2014, 5pm – 11pm and Saturday, 26th April 2014, 5pm – 11pm

6. Urban Food Fest

It’s in a car park, in Shoreditch: it’s going to mega trendy. Urban Food Fest describes itself as a gourmet street food extravaganza – it brings together London’s best food trucks under one roof, for a real feast. Cronuts, handmade burgers, hot dogs… You just know it’s going to be the most Instagrammable place in town this weekend.

Urban Food Fest is at Euro Car Parks, 162-175 Shoreditch High Street, Shoreditch, London, E1 6HU every Saturday night from 12 April 2014 – 5pm to midnight. Free Entry.

7. Real Food Festival

If you’re looking for someone more wholesome, when it’s nice weather, the Southbank is one of our favourite places to be. The Real Food Festival never fails to disappoint, offering lots of lovely food stalls and great tasters. Keep your eye out for the Italian gnocchi stand where the fresh pasta is made in front of you – you’ll thank me later.

The Real Food Market is held weekly, Friday-Sunday, on Southbank Centre Square, behind the Royal Festival Hall. Saturday 11-8, Sunday 1206.

And one for luck…

8. Bloody Mary Takeover at Union Street Bar

The Takeover at Gordon Ramsay’s Union Street sees a whole host of fun drinks brands taking over the bar for one night only, serving up special menus, events and classes. This weekend it’s all about the Ketel One Vodka take over – there’s a quintessential ‘Hi Tea’ on Friday, a DJ night with a retro-style trolley of mini-martinis on Saturday and (if that wasn’t enough) Bloody Mary taster sessions all weekend long. Rumour has it they will be serving their Tomatini signature all weekend – and that’s what we’ll be sipping, in case you’re wondering.

The Takeover is at Union Street Bar, 47-51 Great Suffolk Street, London, SE1 OB on weekends until June
