1. For an Athenian Pop-Up: The Clumsies

What: The world-famous Athens bar The Clumsies is taking up residence in St James Bar in the five-star Sofitel St James from 3rd to 4th March. 

The Lowdown: The Clumsies is currently ranked number 6 in The World’s 50 Best Bars and this exclusive pop-up promises Londoners a rare and unmissable chance to try some of their most renowned cocktails created by a talented team. The Clumsies has a fabulous drinks menu on offer featuring 5 specially designed cocktails. Our favourites are Tea Ceremony with blended malt whisky, shitake, ginger, honey and mango kombucha and Synthesis served with London Dry Gin, White beetroot vermouth and cocoa. Other tantalising cocktails include the likes of Shaker Boys with aged rum, milk water, nutmeg, vanilla and jasmine kvass; Clear Soup with Blanco Tequila, coconut and pineapple sherry, lime and celery ash and hops and the Highball Gimlet with vodka, apple geranium, fennel seeds, London Essence Grapefruit and Rosemary Tonic. Served from 5pm to 12am, The Clumsies cocktails use Greek and local ingredients while capturing the essence and sophistication of St James Bar.

2. For a Theatrical Taste: Paradiso

What: Number 20 in The World’s 50 Best Bars and serving some of our top limited-edition cocktails in London, Barcelona bar Paradiso is coming to 100 Wardour St for an exclusive pop-up from 3rd to 5th March. 

The Lowdown: Paradiso is famous for its cocktail presentation – think the glamour and props of a Broadway show and you won’t be too far off the mark. Expect to see transformations, props and theatricality all incorporated into a single cocktail. For a limited time only, Londoners can sample some of Paradiso’s most exciting cocktails. Look out for Kriptonia a blend of gin washed with shisho and lemongrass, Riboflavina, electric liquor, dry vermouth, pomelo cordial, chocolate bitter and kaffir lime; Champagne Negroni comprised of gin macerated with chamomile and pink pepper, Campari redistilled and white vermouth. Other favourites include Aire Jalisco served with tequila mixed with micro daikon, cilantro and mustard, mais toasted syrup, lemon and ginger juice, Chamberyzette, red pimiento, Chile e Canela Bitter, Apple Air and Caribe Italiano with Guatemalan Ron macerated with platano and parmesan, coconut water shrub, fresh raspberry and arugula.

3. For a Sustainable Concoction: Dr Stravinsky

What: Finishing off an exciting week for pop-up bars at 100 Wardour St, a second Barcelona bar, Dr Stravinksy will be taking up residence at The Den from 5th to 8th March. 

The Lowdown: Led by Antonio Naranjo, Dr Stravinsky is proud to be voted number 25 in The World’s 50 Best Bars. This weekend for a limited time only, Dr Stravinsky will be in 100 Wardour St’s The Den delivering up elaborate and sustainable concoctions which marry homemade alcohols with local produce. Dr Stravinsky is renowned for combining exquisite artisanal produce with self-sufficient sourcing to create ornate and memorable drinks. Just some of the stunning cocktails on offer include Truffle Rosita combined with Tequila Blanco redistilled in truffle, Campari Bitter, Carpano Antica Formula Rosso, dry vermouth and parmesan sheet; Camp Nou with London Dry Gin, Fino Tio Pepe, herbal syrup, lime and dill and Generoso Sour with bourbon, lemon, egg white, mix of wine and nutmeg. Other favourites include an adventurous Soil Martini with vodka redistilled in soil, dry vermouth and olive and Remidio with scotch whisky, Lapsang tea kombucha, smoky cordial and pine.

4. For International Women’s Day: Long Bar at Sanderson

What: On 8th March, in celebration of International Women’s Day 2020, Long Bar at Sanderson London will be serving up 2 exclusive new cocktails inspired by influential women in history. 

The Lowdown: For one day only, Long Bar at Sanderson is offering guests the chance to try 2 exciting limited-edition cocktails to raise a toast to International Women’s Day. For something bubbly, we recommend the Rosalind DND. Inspired by the English Scientist Rosalind Franklin, the cocktail is a refreshing mix of ginseng, rose vermouth, rose and Prosecco. The second cocktail, Coco Chic, named after the French fashion icon Coco Chanel is a floral blend of Lillet Blanc, Fino Sherry, Calvados, Poire Williams, rose water and fresh grapes. Both cocktails are priced at £14.00.

5. For a WOW Cocktail: 12th Knot at Sea Containers London

What: For International Women’s Day, 12th Knot, Sea Containers’ vibrant rooftop bar is serving a limited-edition WOW cocktail in support of The WOW Foundation and its WOW – Women of the World Festival 2020. 

The Lowdown: Running from 6th to 8th March, Sea Containers will light up red for an entire weekend and play host to events and offers for anyone wanting to get involved with the Women of the World Festival. Sea Containers’ trendy rooftop bar will also be serving a special WOW cocktail – a refreshing blend of Finlandia vodka, Aperol, pineapple, cranberry and grenadine. One of our top limited-edition cocktails in London this week, WOW is priced at £13 and guests can enjoy it with stunning views of the city below.

6. For a Mind-Enhancing Experience: Rockwell

What: Rockwell, an exciting cocktail bar and lounge based on the edge of Trafalgar Square, has launched Nootropic Garden, a mind-enhancing dining and drinking experience featuring a combination of natural and exotic nootropics. 

The Lowdown: Available from now until the end of April, the Nootropic Garden is a concept by Rockwell’s Curiosity Club, a series of unique and experiential events for those who want to try something different. It features a food and cocktail menu that uses natural herbs and ingredients to restore and stimulate the cognisance of guests.
