Whisky (or whiskey if you’re drinking in the United States and Ireland) is enjoyed in many different ways – on the rocks, neat, and in classic cocktails. If you fancy upping your bar skills at home, we’ve discovered 3 new recipes that will elevate your well-loved libation:
Powers Gold Label Distillers Cut: Honey Highball
Ingredients:
– 50ml Powers Gold Label Distillers Cut
– 20ml honey syrup
– Premium soda water
– Fresh lemon, to squeeze and garnish
– Ice
Method:
1. Fill a highball glass to the top with ice
2. Pour 50ml of Powers Gold Label
3. Add 20ml honey syrup and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice
4.Top with premium soda water and stir
5. Garnish with a lemon slice and enjoy
Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition: Jameson Caskmates, Tonic and Lemon
Ingredients:
– 50ml Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition
– 150ml quality tonic water
– A wedge from fresh lemon, to garnish
– Ice
Method:
1. Fill a glass to the top with ice
2. Pour 50ml of Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition whiskey
3. Top up the glass with the tonic water
4. Add the lemon wedge to the glass
Jameson Black Barrel: Old Fashioned
Ingredients:
– 40 ml Jameson Black Barrel Old Irish Whiskey
– 5ml 2:1 sugar syrup
– 2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
– 3 dashes of Orange Bitters
– Orange zest, to garnish
Method:
1. Fill a glass with ice
2. Add 60ml of Jameson Black Barrel
3. Add the Angostura Bitters
4. Add the Orange Bitters
5. Stir with ice until cold
6. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass
7. Garnish with orange zest
