What: Balance Festival will be returning to the Old Truman Brewery 10-12th May with its best line-up yet. The perfect destination for Londoners who crave a healthy lifestyle, Balance Festival cherry-picks the city’s top boutique studios, healthy food, expert trainers, yogis, wellness, and athleisure brands to join forces, offering the ultimate wellness experience.
This year, the likes of Kelsey Wells, Alice Liveing, Carly Rowena and Zanna Van Dijk will be hosting main stage workouts to get your body moving!
Festival goers will also have the chance to stretch, flex and flow alongside the likes of industry-renowned yogis, including Patrick Beach, Marc Hatvani and 80’s-inspired yoga studio, House of VOGA, in the brand new FLOW Studio.
London’s biggest celebration of wellness brings all of the city’s top boutique studios under one roof. Fitness fanatics can expect high-octane workouts from a wide selection of studios including Another_Space, Barry’s Bootcamp, F45, BLOK, Boom Cycle, KXU, UN1T, and many more.

For a Boozy Knees Up: The London Whisky Weekender
What: You’ll get to sample the best home-grown whiskies from Scotland, as well as all corners of the globe. The London Whisky Weekender attracts the finest distillers from as far afield as Taiwan, India, Japan and the USA. Simply approach any of the exhibitors stands, ask politely for a dram and you shall receive a tasty glass of whisky (it really is that simple!). You can also sign up to a host of masterclasses with the whisky-world’s most renowned experts and experience some rare ‘under the counter’ drams.

For The Bake-Off Enthusiasts: Cake Decorating at Cutter & Squidge
What: Cutter & Squidge, London’s only all-natural bakery, is delighted to announce a series of Saturday afternoon Cake Decorating Master- classes, launching on 11th May 2019. In line with Cutter & Squidge’s all-natural baking ethos, these fun and hands-on decorating classes will teach cake enthusiasts how they can ditch the food dye for good, and use natural colourings to achieve fantastic results. Decorating techniques will also be a part of the classes, with participants going away able to design and create their own cakes, skilled in the art of butter-creaming for that flawless finish and able to construct a semi-naked layer cake like a Cutter & Squidge pro!

Things to Do in London This Weekend: Sunday 12th May 2019
For Edam Good Time: We Love Cheese Festival
What: We Love Cheese, the free festival for cheese lovers, is coming to Battersea Power Station for the first time this weekend.
Highlights include Raclette Brothers’ Alpine dishes and Mac To The Future‘s signature mac’n’cheese, plus toasties, charcuterie, fresh breads, olives, sauces and speciality produce.
And because, well, cheese = wine, We Love Cheese has teamed up with Vagabond Wines who will be on hand to serve up their Battersea made wines (yes, you read correctly!) made in their SW11 urban winery. Vagabond will also be hosting various informational cheese & wine pairing sessions throughout the weekend which will, of course, involve copious amounts of tasting!
Make sure to check out the ‘Battersea Bites’ tent for a curated programme of talks and masterclasses including matching cheeses with wines or beers, live performances, and a kids’ craft area.
