If you want to see out 2018 in boozy, glamorous or in 1920’s style (delete as appropriate), we’ve discovered some of the best NYE bashes taking place across the capital. There’s a party to suit every budget and cocktail preference:
1. For a Night of Cabaret: Oriole
What: Oriole bar have teamed up with the glamorous folk at The Vintage Arts Agency to present a New Year’s Eve Cabaret Spectacular. Dress up in your finest and ring in the New Year in art deco style, whilst enjoying their excellent old-school hospitality and world-class cocktails.
The Event: Expect a devilish and divine evening from London’s renowned Cabaret performers and musicians, led by London’s Infamous Lili La Scala to include bountiful burlesque, caddish comedy, stomping live music and stylish swing dancing.

2. For a Special Gatsby Performance: The London Cabaret Club
What: The London Cabaret Club will be hosting the ultimate celebration to welcome in the new year, with the most lavish party in town, The Great Gatsby. Performed in the Bloomsbury Ballroom, the show will take you on a decadent journey through 1920’s glamour, with Bearcats in flappers and dazzling cabaret dancers.
The Event: The Great Gatsby Show will be filled with skillful acrobats, expert aerialists, cunning contortionists and distinguished singers. For the countdown to new year the London Cabaret Club will be tuning in to the live fireworks, and will continue celebrations with live entertainment and a DJ until late.

3. For a Portuguese Party: Casa do Frango
What: For a Portuguese New Year’s Eve party to remember, head down to Casa do Frango. The critically acclaimed piri piri restaurant in London Bridge has an action packed night in store: expect Portuguese traditions, boozy prizes, and DJs on the decks at a late night after hours lock-in in the hidden speakeasy, The Green Room found behind a hidden door.
The Event: Ticket price includes an Algarvian-inspired feast including grilled chorizo with black olive mayo, chargrilled cauliflower with coriander yoghurt, and giant piri piri prawns. The star, of course, is the chicken: locally sourced and free-range, grilled over wood charcoal according to an age-old Portuguese recipe, and brushed with oregano, lemon and garlic or the house favourite piri piri. After dinner, head to the Casa do Frango’s basement bar for a Rossini cocktail with a twist, party tunes, and dancing.

4. For a London First: South West 4 at 02 Brixton Academy
What: Following a milestone year for the London festival which saw them celebrate their 15th anniversary, South West Four will debut their New Year’s Eve party at the O2 Academy Brixton.
The Event: As part of a brand new ‘SW4 presents’ event series, the NYE bill will bring together a selection of the festivals favourite artists who are renowned for delivering show stopping performances, and will be topped by a very special performance from South London collective So Solid Crew. Instrumental in developing the UKG scene, this year marks 20 years of the group and their appearance will see key members Lisa Mafia, Romero, MC Harvey, Asher D and Megaman all in attendance.

5. For an Indian Feast: Brigadiers
What: Brigadiers will be ringing in 2019 with a celebratory seafood feasting menu, Bollywood karaoke, on-tap cocktails, and party cards to unlock their legendary whisky vending machine.
The Event: The menu, a seafood feast, will comprise papadums and chutney and a twist on the party classic prawn cocktail, a Carabineros Masala Prawn Cocktail, to start. This will be followed by seafood dishes of Dum Baked King Scallop, Gobhi Mussalum and a Malai Monkfish Tikka, and then – for the main event – the Tandoori Masala Lobster Tawa Biryani – an extravagantly rich centrepiece for the whole table to share, and Gingerbread and Clementine Falooda will round things off. A pre-requisite for all good New Year’s Eve parties, drinks will be flowing throughout the evening with a welcome cocktail to start alongside complimentary champagne at midnight.

6. For Cocktail Pairing: Nine Lives
What: Nine Lives are bringing luxurious vibes to the New Year, with their tropical lush party. They will be dishing up nine serves which will comprise a mixture of spectacular cocktails and small plates.
The Event: The night will commence with champagne cocktails and oysters before sitting down to the nine serves food and cocktail menu. The first cocktail offering will be a delicate serve of sherry, sake, rose and sesame paired with king prawn skewers with pink ginger and coriander cress. Other courses such as the Nine Tales cocktail made with bourbon, palo cortado sherry and wine cordial will be warm and spicy, to be followed by a dainty portion of rare beef, scorched cherry tomato, green bean and watercress salad. To finish the feast, think bespoke tropical print macarons paired with an Espresso Martini Affogato.

7. For a Shanghai Disco: Tea Room at Bun House
What: Tea Room at Bun House will welcome in the new year with a Shanghai Disco Fever inspired party.Transforming into the ultimate resurrection of Shanghai’s hedonistic glory days, the subterranean Soho hangout will host an evening of dancing, imbibing, and groovy indulgence, evoking the memory of the Golden Age of Shanghai with a distinctly 70’s twist.
The Event: Amidst laser lights, a steamy layer of fog, and dazzling dragons, Tea Room’s expert bartenders will be serving up a selection of old favourites and new, seasonal cocktails alongside free canapés all night long. 8. For a Fancy NYE Party: Basoon Bar at Corinthia Hotel London
What: Music, drinks and unlimited snacks set the scene from 9pm at Corinthia Hotel London’s Bassoon Bar, where the resident DJ will be playing until 3am.
The Event: A glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne on arrival, and a ‘bottomless’ selection of snacks, including popped fried buttermilk chicken, truffle mayonnaise courgette fries and saffron aïoli tempura prawns. Enjoy access to the ‘Blue Zone’ along the Embankment to watch the world-renowned fireworks as London counts down to midnight.

What: This New Year’s Eve, The Sun Tavern are bringing the sounds of New York City to Bethnal Green for Studio 441.
The Event: Expect to ring in the new year listening to Blondie, Talking Heads, The Ramones, The Strokes and LCD, along with The Sun Tavern’s signature cocktails. Celebrate with tipples from their new winter menu, featuring The Landlord with white rum, white port, pineapple rosemary syrup and citrus and tonic water and the Easy Peeler made with Bathtub gin, nonino amaro, akavit, clementine sherbet and cranberry.

What: The best day of your year starts and ends on January 1st as Bugged Out return to The Old Queens Head for their legendary all-day-er. The regular DJ squad & guests will play from the New Years Day song sheet of disco, pop, Balearic, yacht rock and vintage rave up.
