Festival People: The Lowdown

Festival People represent the soundtrack of the next generation; expect a mix of the newest rising stars and the biggest headline artists, free from programming and challenging the status quo. The first wave of programming consists of a dynamic bill of artists with Brentford’s finest, Kurupt FM joining as headliners for their biggest-ever show in their home city and special guest Manchester’s finest, Bugzy Malone, one of the UK’s brightest talents in grime.

Established acts within the electronic scene come aplenty with the fluid heavyweight Holy Goof, spinning everything from adrenaline-fuelled bassline to house, garage and grime. Hot Dub Time Machine will be joining to play a rave set, whilst Bristol’s Born on Road will be providing the sounds of new jungle.
Also joining will be KISS FM’s very own Mollie Collins, Britain’s best-known drag queen, acclaimed producer DJ Jodie Harsh, Defected resident Jess Bays and BBC 1’s music connoisseur Jay Forster. Girls Don’t Sync have quickly become renowned for their cleverly curated genre blends of dancehall, afrobeats, UK garage and more join the bill, alongside Dom Whiting AKA ‘DJ on a bike’ will be spreading his infectious energy at the event.

Taskemater P-rallel has been confirmed to provide his easygoing blend of soulful dance music, Australia’s fast-rising DnB DJ LUUDE, house duo Mas Que Nada and fresh and up-and-coming talent Belters Only, Koven, AMA, Assemble, Nathan X and Izzy Bossy.

Leaders in the new generation of UK garage, Sammy Virji and Conducta will be going exclusively B2B for what’s sure to be a very special set. South London’s multi-award-winning artist Ms Banks and Youtube’s favourite musician and social media buff, Yung Filly will also be joining the star-studded line-up.
