With April fools done and dusted, we can get back to being serious about things . Here’s 5 tunes to kickstart your weekend vibes:

Rita Ora – I Will Never Let You Down

An ‘Under The Bridge‘ style guitar lick kicks off proceedings on Rita Ora’s new single, before electrifying into a very glam affair indeed. Catchiest chorus of this week, get listening. TL

Flamingo – Heavy Steps

If you have enjoyed Chet Faker and Flume’s joint ventures in the past, Flamingo is another Aussie not to overlook. The lead singer’s crisp voice bears a noticeable resemblance to that of Chet, whilst the background production has that dreamy flume vibe to it. That said, Flamingo is an artist in his own right as a scour of his soon to be released EP will confirm. OR

First Aid Kit – My Silver Lining

Desert western strings slide all over plucked acoustic guitar in this wanderer of a track. A confident song about a journey (“Take me some place where there’s music and there’s laughter… Be it for reason, be it for love, I won’t take the easy road”) to revel in, and a great major label debut. TL

Rixton – Me and My Broken Heart

This is the new song by pop-rock band Rixton. It’s important to point out that Shane Richie, although his voice is featured in their new video, is not a member of the band. TL

SZA Feat. Chance the Rapper (Prod. XXYYXX) – Child’s Play

Next on the list we bring you a truly special collaboration from Chance, SZA and XXYYXX. The psychedelic beat, the enchanting vocals, chance’s verse – each of these elements could have worked independently and no one woul dhave seen anything amiss. Yet here, we get it all beautifully crafted together in three odd minutes of minutes of downtempo bliss. OR
