Looking for the best reformer pilates classes in New York? I’ve got you covered.

I’m addicted to reformer pilates. Nothing puts a spring in my step than walking to a reformer class, iced latte in hand, wearing a matching Alo set. I know it’s basic. But basic things are popular for a reason; I’m owning it.

Over the last year, I’ve become reformer pilates addict and made it my mission to try all the classes in the city. As I like to try out different places and workout when I travel, I use Classpass and you can use my link to get free credits here. Best Boutique Studio: Holydog Pilates

Holydog Pilates is one of those hidden gems that only New York could serve up. Located on the 8th floor of an office block, it’s a boutique studio with great instructors.

This boutique spot has quickly become my go-to for that perfect combination of sweat and serenity. Reformer Flow is the class to try here, blending fluid movement with muscle-burning exercises.

The vibe is relaxed, the instructors are top-notch, and there’s a clear sense of community. You’re not just working out; you’re getting hands-on assists, form correction and an intimate experience. Highly recommend if you’re after a solid full-body workout with a zen touch.

If you like your reformer pilates classes with a dose of high energy, Form50 is where it’s at. I won’t lie to you, this class is HARD. But it’s good – the music is loud, the instructors are always super peppy and it just has that all-American vibe that sometimes I need to get a really good workout in.

The Total Body Sculpt class is packed with advanced moves, combining strength, flexibility, and cardio in one seriously satisfying sweat session. If you’re craving a class that keeps you moving non-stop, this one’s your ticket.

Best for Ab Work: Bodyrok

When it comes to sculpting abs, Bodyrok’s Core & Cardio class is the place to be. It’s core-centric, with a perfect blend of cardio that’ll have you feeling like you’ve just conquered a fitness obstacle course. It’s probably better to attend Bodywork when you’ve taken a few classes, because they are pretty fast-paced with bigger class sizes.

They use a jumpboard to get some cardio in, which is fun. The instructor’s focus on form means you’re getting the most out of your workout. If you love a peppy workout that leaves you feeling strong and toned, Bodyrok has got you covered.

If you’re the type who thrives in a more intimate setting, BK Pilates offers an unbeatable small-group vibe. The studio is really light and airy, located in Flatiron, so perfect for those busy Manhattan days.

The Reformer Pilates Class focuses on proper form and technique, making it perfect for anyone who wants personal attention while still being part of a group dynamic. The instructors at BK Pilates are super attentive, helping you get the most out of each move. It’s a fantastic spot for those looking for that extra guidance on their reformer journey. I came away feeling super zen.

Best for Vibes: Solidcore

Let’s talk vibes for a second – because no one does it like Solidcore.

The Hip Hop Thursday class is the place to be if you’re after a high-energy, music-driven workout that’ll have you feeling like you’re in the front row at a concert. The beat drops and so do you – right into a killer workout that’s as fun as it is effective. It’s not just about the pilates moves; it’s about enjoying the music, the energy, and that post-class glow. If you’re into reformer pilates with a side of rhythm, this is the one.
