Kicking off this September, Samyukta Nair will launch ‘Made by Women’ at the much-loved Indian restaurant Bombay Bustle – a conversational series in celebration of women entrepreneurs and their creative journeys.

Following the success of Jamavar’s Women’s Club in 2017, which started as an antidote to the traditional ‘boys’ clubs’ of Mayfair, the inaugural edition of ‘Made By Women’ will run over four events from September – October featuring Eshita Kabra, Olia Hercules, Skye McAlpine, and Rosie Birkett in conversation with Samyukta over an evening of thought-provoking discussions and indulgent feasting.

Made by Women at Bombay Bustle: The Lowdown

Kicking off the conversational series this September will be Eshita Kabra, founder of By Rotation, who will discuss her journey in creating By Rotation, sustainability and her experience from working in finance to fashion. Following Eshita will come three further events; one with award-winning food writer and author of ‘The Joyful Home Cook’ and ‘East London Food’, Rosie Birkett who will discuss her journey from East London to the Kent coast, and from The Sunday Times to Substack, along with how she creates viral seasonal recipes, followed by cookery writer Skye McAlpine who will delve into her newest book ‘A Table Full of Love’ and her love of hosting a dinner party. Rounding off the collection will be a discussion on female balance, strength and nurture, and dishes that preserve the cuisine and culture of Ukraine with chef, activist and author Olia Hercules.

Following the conversation, guests will begin their meal with a choice of samosas: papdi chaat served with wheat crisp, sev and mint chutney or bohri lamb with garlic and chilli chutney. To follow, paneer butter masala; malabar lamb curry; urlai roast, dabba dal, basmati rice and assorted breads. To finish will come jalebi cheesecake finished with saffron caviar, gram flour and malai.
