Looking for some fun things to do in London this week? Our London Editor checked out some of London’s best offerings and has the lowdown for you. Here’s what to try in the capital this week:

1. For Small Plates: Caia

The Lowdown: Check out Notting Hill’s new neighbourhood restaurant Caia. Named after the Roman Goddess of fire, the restaurant serves a seasonal “wine-friendly” small plates menu. Expect an atmospheric basement bar with a specially curated vinyl collection from a variety of music to complete the mood.

Eat + Drink: A mixture of small plates with some delicious combinations of flavour. To start, we tried the Burrata and jerk peas, alongside smoked Jersey Royals with borlotti beans, and fava beans with miso and parmesan. The main course that followed was a delicious octopus with burnt pepper and Ndjua crumb – it was perfectly cooked and tasted incredible. There’s a great blend of local and international here; their Bavette steak was paired with a red wine fermented in Fulham with the grapes from France.

Where: 46 Golborne Rd, London W10 5PR

2. For a Special Experience: The Hundred

The Lowdown: The Hundred is back this summer and we were lucky enough to watch London Spirit vs Manchester Originals. Expect world-class players with amazing stadiums and reasonably priced tickets – it’s a whole new avenue for new cricket fans. 100 balls per team, most runs wins, so every ball counts. Seeing Pollard, Butler & Russell in the flesh was amazing with a great crowd is great entertainment after work with friends or family.

 3. For Rooftop Cocktails: Madison x Aperol

The Lowdown: This summer Madison has partnered with Aperol for the ultimate summer of spritzing. Sit out on their stunning terrace and enjoy the best of both worlds, with iconic views of St Paul’s being complimented by Aperol’s taste of the Italian coast. Drinks include the classic Aperol Spritz to the special Pinaperol Colada with coconut rum and pineapple juice. The collaboration with Aperol is definitely one not to miss with those after work drinks or dates.
