The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul delivers in the heart of the city, with panoramic Bosphorus views, an award-winning spa, and some of the best hotel restaurants in Istanbul.
Here’s what makes it one of the top luxury hotels in Istanbul.
The Ritz: What to Expect
Rooms & Suites at The Ritz-Carlton, are designed with a mix of modern comfort and Ottoman-inspired style, the 239 rooms and suites are ideal for travelers seeking both luxury and authenticity. Many rooms offer breathtaking Bosphorus views, while all rooms feature high-end amenities like marble bathrooms, plush bedding, and premium bath products.
Stepping into my room felt like entering a private retreat. The design was quietly luxurious — rich hardwood floors, soft lighting, and a palette of warm neutrals accented by subtle Ottoman touches. Everything was considered: from the smooth lines of the custom furniture to the inviting king-sized bed, dressed in linens so soft they almost convinced me to skip sightseeing altogether. There was even a desk to sit facing the window if you needed any inspiration while working along.
the real showstopper? The view. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the Bosphorus stretched out like a painting — ferries gliding between continents, minarets rising in the distance, and the warm glow of sunset shimmering on the water. It was the kind of view you could get lost in for hours. My camera roll is currently a photo of the same view but from every hour in the day…
If you’re like me and believe hotel bathrooms should be an experience, you’re in luck. The marble bathroom at The Ritz-Carlton was nothing short of spa-worthy. A deep soaking tub, while the rainfall shower was a dream — spacious, modern, and stocked with luxe Asprey London toiletries that added an extra layer of indulgence to every rinse.
There were thoughtful touches everywhere: soft robes, oversized towels, twin vanities, and just the right kind of lighting for a slow morning or an evening of pampering. It felt like my own personal hammam — minus the steam and crowd.

The Ritz-Carlton-Istanbul
Speaking of hammam, The Ritz-Carlton Spa is one of the finest in the city inspired by traditional Turkish hammam culture. Enjoy a range of treatments, from massages to steam rituals, or unwind in the tranquil pool and wellness areas. Whether you’re exploring the Grand Bazaar, taking a cruise on the Bosphorus, or shopping in Nişantaşı, this hotel is a perfect base. For football fans you are also overlooking the Tüpraş Stadyumu which in itself brings a unique experience.
The Ritz: What to Eat
Dining at The Ritz-Carlton, Istanbul is very much a culinary destination, usually wouldn’t suggest eating at a hotel too often however the Ritz in Istanbul is different. What sets this hotel apart is its exceptional on-site dining, offering three distinct restaurants — each bringing a different flavor of the city and the world.
Atölye celebrates authentic Turkish cuisine with a farm-to-table philosophy. Ingredients are locally sourced, and the menu highlights seasonal flavors. The ambiance is elegant yet inviting — perfect for a special dinner or relaxed lunch. Breakfast is also served in Atölye so you will be able to experience that view every morning.
The Roof – Italian and Mediterranean Cuisine with a View Open seasonally, The Roof is a rooftop restaurant and lounge offering Italian cuisine and Mediterranean favorites with stunning views over the Bosphorus. It’s ideal for sunset cocktails, light bites, or a romantic dinner under the stars.
Limoré- The newest of resturants at the Ritz opened in January 2025, Features an intimate setting with only 45 seats, The design is inspired by the Amalfi Coast, featuring pastel tones and lemon tree accents. Signature dishes include Limoré Linguine, Branzino Alla Mugnaia, and Truffle Risotto.
Of course, no stay here would be complete without dinner at Nobu, located right inside the hotel. Set against panoramic views of the city and water, this world-famous Japanese-Peruvian restaurant brought a whole new dimension to the experience.
We started with the iconic Yellowtail Jalapeño, which lived up to the hype — delicate, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Then came the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, and honestly, I could have eaten an entire tray of it. The textures, the heat, the presentation — everything was spot on.
But the star of the show? Black Cod with Miso. Silky, rich, and caramelized just right. It practically melted on the tongue. Paired with a cold sake and a view of the Bosphorus lights twinkling in the background — it was one of those moments you know you’ll remember long after you’ve flown home.
For those who enjoy a tipple there is an extensive drinks list which you can enjoy at the beautifully traditionally decorated bar pre or post meal, or just enjoy a drink with your meal. You can get all your classics as well as an Istanbul specials which is a list of traditional cocktails.
