If you don’t know about WeRoad – get to know. In a few words: they’re all about group adventures. The team group strangers together (we get it, this sounds way more intimidating than it actually is) and have them share the most incredible experiences around the world.

If you’re looking for places to travel this summer, we’ve roped in the good folks at WeRoad to compile a handy list of must-visit European destinations. Passports at the ready:

1. Iceland

The Lowdown: Experience the best that Iceland has to offer with WeRoad as you pass effortlessly from endless green grasslands to volcanic lava flows, from the icy white of the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon to the explosive geysers that shoot water up to ten meters high.

What to Do: Take a road trip with your fellow travellers and spend every day witnessing the Country’s changing landscapes, exploring and experiencing the ultimate “Icelanding” spirit of nature! This tour will bring you to the most magical places in Iceland: we’re talking about the majestic Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, even Hùsavìk, where you’ll be given the opportunity to see whales and puffins in their natural habitat.

Join us on our winter Icelandic tour to give yourself the best possible chance of witnessing the magic of the Northern Lights. Totally immerse yourself in the land of ice and fire, full of contrasting natural variety, where powerful waterfalls and geysers meet the peace of the fjords… And when the ribbons of light of the aurora borealis twinkle in the sky before your eyes, you will know that you found what you were looking for.

Witness the Lofoten Islands, one of the most beautiful archipelagos in the world and travel by road to find the most unique landscapes: sharp peaks reflected in the waters lapped by the Gulf Stream, where the most important and traditional cod fishing in the world takes place.

What to Do: In this natural paradise, you’ll be enraptured by the red of the traditional fishermen’s houses Rorbuers, whilst embracing the calm and quiet lifestyle the Country is known for, escaping from the hustle and bustle of life as you drive for miles without encountering a single soul. From Tromso to the North Cape it’s the perfect group trip to unplug and rediscover the beauty of Norway’s beautiful land.

3. Greece

The Lowdown: Fall in love with the unexplored side of Greece and dive into the secluded waters of Kos, Kalymnos and Leros. These islands will conquer your hearts with their white beaches, hidden bays, and breath-taking sunsets over the Aegean Sea. This is an adventure with a little of everything, from sunbathing and swimming, to exploring the inland, kayaking the coast and spending a day relaxing aboard a boat before finally returning home with a plethora of memories and a bunch of new friends.

What to Do: Immerse yourself in Greece’s culture and experience the north-western coast through the wonder of Corfu with its golden beaches, crystal clear waters and party atmosphere.  Admire it’s never-ending coasts, lush nature and olive groves, nestled alongside the picturesque villages the Isle is so well known for. We will uncover the islands magic through exploring spots like Paxos Island and the incredible rocky coastline. 4. Italy

The Lowdown: Witness the Bucolic views of the Tuscan countryside, with a glass of wine in your hand and new friends crowded around a table full of colourful, traditional Italian delicacies. Italy has so much more to offer than the food and wine it is best known for and you can discover it all with WeRoad. This diverse country is filled with strong regional identities, dialects, traditions and food, all linked by indefinable thing that we call ‘italianità’, being Italian. It’s something that you can only experience and feel, by wandering in the street markets in Naples, with people screaming and inviting you to see how fresh their fish is, or by having an arancino in Sicily, while passing by the baroque’s buildings that make Palermo so unique, or even by sailing through the Arcipelago de La Maddalena, in Sardinia, described by many as ‘heaven on earth’.

What to Do: Veneto rests in the north-eastern Italian region stretching from the Magnificent “pale mountains” also known as The Dolomites to the crystal blue waters of the Adriatic sea. Discover the rolling hilltops, ethereal mountainsides and break taking coastlines as you enjoy the rich culture of this historic region dating back to the Middle Ages. The tour centres around the beauty of the Dolomites landscapes and traditions, sample the delicious delicacies of the region and indulge in a glass or two of prosecco. Adventure is second nature on this tour, whether you’re taking in historic castles, hiking the mountain peaks or swimming in the Italian lakes, this tour welcomes culinary tradition, learning art and culture whilst surrounded with great company and  creating lifelong memories.

5. Portugal

The Lowdown: Travelling the beautiful Algarve’s rugged coastline and gazing on the dozens of shades of the ocean, we’ll be asking ourselves many times if we are actually road tripping in Orange County instead of the European coast. We’ll be “going south” from Lisbon to Sines, before continuing through Lagos and Albufeira: get ready for golden hour cold beers, with a side of laughter, kayaking, and the craziest car rides you’ve ever head with the best fellow travellers ever!

What to Do: On this trip, we’ll see the true soul of Portugal in an on-the-road tour where the new and the old meet in a fascinating way. Portugal is the perfect country for a breath-taking group tour and its numerous historical, artistic and scenic beauties spread over  830 km of coastline will take your breath away.

On our Lisbon tour, we’ll be searching for the real Portugal, the authentic one known only to locals. We will reach Fatima, with its sacred places, and Porto, the second-largest city in the country, famous for its numerous wineries where Port wine is produced, which will leave us with unforgettable memories!
