About Time You Saw: Bella Figura LiveBy Oliver Malin
About Time magazine likes to think it knows a thing or two about music and not just where the best place to score avocado on toast is in Soho. Since About Time began in 1870, we’ve tried to sniff out the more interesting musical happenings in Zones 1-5. We found Shrines looking for ecstatic truth in Wood Green. We found Bare Hunter in Hackney Downs igniting the spirit of Jerry lee Lewis, one Salvador Dali moustache at a time and then stumbled across Bella Figura after a drunken bar fight in the bible and it’s been love ever since. They helped us lose our innocence at the launch of AFT and now like Jesus’s dramatic resurrection, headline one of Soho’s last great venues, The Borderline this coming tuesday along with the sublime Frankie Forman and Noah & The Whale’s, Fred Abbott.
