New menus are landing across town, offering everything from updated brasserie classics to indulgent comfort dishes. Whether you’re after a set menu, a new Sunday roast, or something to make a weekday feel special, these are the latest plates in the capital worth trying:

1. For a Menu Refresh: Permit Room

What: From seriously good bar snacks to deeply comforting, moreish curries and generous grills made for sharing, Permit Room’s new line-up is packed with flavour, colour and character,  alongside a few iconic Dishoom favourites thrown in for good measure.

Eat: Designed with abundance and gatherings in mind, the new Permit Room menu leans into feasting and flexibility. At its heart is the Mixed Grill – comprising eight chicken wings, half chicken tandoori, lamb kebabs and lamb Chops – served with green chutney, pickled onions and kachumber. It’s designed as a centrepiece for lively tables and long conversations. Permit Room’s veggie offerings continue to take the spotlight on the refreshed menu. Highlights include the jackfruit berry pulao, a pillowy mattar paneer served with tomato gravy, and sides such as crispy spinach chaat and charred sweet potato, served with tenderstem broc.
