Fancy making a delicious dinner tonight? Well, we recently had the pleasure of meeting Mr Giovanni Rana himself and learning the art of Italian pasta making. If you’d like to make a quick and easy pasta dish at home, here’s how:

250g pack Giovanni Rana Gorgonzola & Crunchy Mellow Walnut Ravioli
1tbsp olive oil, plus extra, for drizzling
1x pear, cored and sliced
2x figs, sliced
4tbsp crème fraiche
Salt and freshly ground black pepper 4x slices prosciutto
Flat leaf parsley or basil, to garnish

1. Place the ravioli in a large saucepan of lightly salted boiling water and simmer gently for 4 minutes. Avoid overcooking.

2. At the same time, heat the olive oil in a frying pan and lightly cook the pear slices for 2 minutes.

3. Add the figs and cook for a further 2 minutes, before stirring in the crème fraiche. Drain the ravioli thoroughly and toss with the pear mixture.

4. Share between 2 warm serving plates, season with black pepper and top with the slices of prosciutto

5. Drizzle with a little extra olive oil and serve, garnished with flat leaf parsley or basil.

Cook’s tip: For a meat-free dish, the prosciutto can be omitted.
