The amazing chef Abby Lee, whose modern Malaysian spot Mambow in Peckham has taken the industry by storm since opening almost exactly a year ago, is running a very special feasting menu from Wednesday 24th – Saturday 27th May.

For those who are looking to delve further into Malaysian food, the Nyonya From The North menu brings a whole host of new dishes to try that have yet to grace Mambow’s door. Open for dinner only, the menu will be focused on Nyonya dishes mainly from the Northern part of Malaysia, which is close to Abby’s heart.

Highlights from the menu includes: Jiu Hu Char, Kuih Pie Tee (stir fry yam bean w/ dried squid); Otak-Otak, Seaweed Crackers (spiced fish pâté); and Inche Kabin (nyonya fried chicken).

The cuisine brings together Chinese ingredients with distinct spices and techniques used by the Malay and Indonesian communities. The result: a kaleidoscope of tangy, aromatic, spicy and herbal flavours which, in the case of Abby’s food, has particular influence from Thailand where tamarind and sour ingredients are the stars of the show.

£45 per head, £25 optional wine pairing. Tickets can be purchased here.
