London has officially gone dough-lally. The city’s pizza scene is swapping tradition for experimentation, with chefs combining some of the nation’s favourite comfort foods with everyone’s favourite doughy disc. Think kebabs by way of Naples, burgers with a pizza twist, and sandwiches reimagined with a crust. These are the collaborations causing a stir across the capital. Grab a slice of the action, stat:

1. For a Neighbourhood Love-In: Yard Sale Pizza x Mangal 1

What:  Yard Sale Pizza has joined forces with Mangal 1, the Dalston grill house that has fed East London since 1991, to create a limited-edition collab pizza. Introducing: The Mangal One. The Mangal One sees Mangal 1’s signature lamb kofte served on a classic Yard Sale base, topped with Turkish green peppers, Aleppo pepper sauce, fior di latte mozzarella and tomato sauce, all finished with garlic sauce and served alongside an exclusive chilli dip. The Mangal One is available for collection and dine-in at Yard Sale shops, along with home delivery or to their pub partners across London until 26th August.

2. For a Comfort Food Collab: Crust Bros x Black Bear Burger

What: Crust Bros and Black Bear Burger have come together to answer one of the capital’s biggest food debates finally… Burger or pizza? Built on a San Marzano burger sauce base with fior di latte, the collab pizza comes topped with smashed beef patty pieces, guanciale, pink pickled onion slices, and Red Leicester cheese before being served with Black Bear Burger’s signature miso mayo for next-level crust dipping. Grab a ‘za at both Crust Bros pizzerias for a limited time.

3. For a Summery Special: Franca Manca x Wildflowers 

What: Franco Manca has launched Summer in Bloom, a limited-edition pizza created with Aaron Potter, chef patron of Wildflowers in Belgravia. Available until the end of August, grab the pizza at all Franco Manca restaurants in England and Wales, as well as via click & collect and delivery. The creation comes topped with peach, gorgonzola, crispy coppa and truffle honey. Need a condiment for your crusts? There’s also a truffle honey and gorgonzola dip too.

4. For a Cambodian-Inspired ‘Za: Slice Circle and Mamapen

What: Two of south east London’s finest – Slice Circle and Mamapen – have teamed up to bring you the summer pizza collab of dreams at The Old Nun’s Head pub in Nunhead, SE15. Inspired by Mamapen founder Kaneda Pen’s Cambodian roots, the Tro-Pic Thunder collab pizza features fior di latte, San Marzano tomatoes, stir-fried pork and aubergine ‘cha-trop’, cucumber, coriander, spring onion, pickled yellow chilli, lime juice and fish sauce dressing. Available until 31st August.

5.  For a Sandwich and Pizza Mash-Up: MONDO SANDO X Dough Hands

What: In true collaborative style, MONDO SANDO and Dough Hands have brought together their signature ingredients for a very tasty special, the A1 Beef Drip Pizza. Available exclusively at Dough Hands’ new home at All My Friends, until the 14th August, this limited-edition pizza reimagines a cult MONDO SANDO favourite. Taking the A1 Beef Drip Sandwich from MONDO TO GO, Mondo’s latest sandwich spot in Deptford, and reworking it with Dough Hands into pizza form. Think Szechuan Beef Drip pizza topped with aged and fresh mozzarella, master stock-braised beef shin, pickled mustard greens, mala chilli dust, mala chilli oil, herbs and fresh chillies.
