There are some restaurants which are just “it”. When the vibe, atmosphere, food and experience is totally seamless, fusing into something totally magical, and you come away thinking that you might never eat that well again. Hamilton’s Kitchen, at the stunning hotel The Alfond Inn in Winter Park, Orlando, is that kind of restaurant. We recently took a trip to Orlando, Florida, and you can read about all our favourite foodie discoveries in the city here. Discover why it’s about time you dined at Hamilton’s Kitchen:

Hamilton’s Kitchen Review: The Lowdown

Hamilton’s Kitchen is beautiful restaurant in Winter Park, Florida, with a bright and airy feel. The restaurant is a fusion of many glorious things – locally-sourced, good quality ingredients, a unique charm and the most excellent service. The restaurant serves up Southern fare with a modern twist, and is the perfect spot for taking your family on a relaxed Sunday lunch. There’s something so welcoming in the vibe at Hamilton’s Kitchen, with large tables designed for groups, a stunning patio for dining al fresco in the sunshine, and an open kitchen for watching the magic happen. The restaurant is steeped in history, located at the impressive, trendy Alfond Inn, whose funds all go to Rollins College, one of the nation’s premier liberal arts institutions. All the more reason to indulge in a delicious brunch, we say.

Hamilton’s Kitchen Review: The Food

Brunch at Hamilton’s Kitchen is really something worth travelling for. The menu is vast, and you’ll struggle between all the amazing food on offer here. My tip: go for the salads. They’re not like any salads you’ve tried before – bursting with flavour, full of insanely delicious local produce, such as local fish, cheeses and fresh vegetables, these are the salads of dreams. I opted for the baby kale salad with strawberries, pickled onions, candied pecans and strawberries, and can honestly say it was one of the best salads of my life – add in some local rock shrimp, and you’ve got yourself a serious party in the mouth.

My guest thought their Cobb salad, with egg, crumbled goat’s cheese, tomato and cucumber, was the best Cobb salad she’d ever tasted. With the addition of poached salmon, which literally melts in the mouth, this is a salad to rival all salads. If you’re a taco lover, you must try their local rock shrimp tacos with sweetcorn relish and key lime creme fraiche, which are so flavoursome and delicious. For dessert, try the butterscotch pudding with 12-year Scotch, it’s a local favourite. All in all, the food at Hamilton’s Kitchen is totally astounding – with great ingredients, a modern touch and a focus on presentation, it’s a brunch that will wow.

Hamilton’s Kitchen Review: The Drinks

It’s all about the brunch cocktails at Hamilton’s Kitchen – we loved their homemade peach belinis, with the perfect balance of sweetness and bubbles. They also serve up the most divine freshly squeeze orange juice, using Florida oranges, which you must try. For something stronger, ask their bartender to mix you up something bespoke for your brunch.

Hamilton’s Kitchen Review: Our Verdict

We absolutely loved Hamilton’s Kitchen. The food. The service. The outdoor dining. The cocktails. The place has personality, style and class in one – somewhere you’d happily dine any day of the week. Don’t miss this spot, it’s a definite must-visit on your next Orlando trip.
