Now that Coachella has been and gone and the sun seems to have decided to hang around in the UK, festival fever is truly underway.  Fashion has become more and more of a focus each year and here are our top fashionable footwear choices for your festival activities this summer, whether home or away.

Jellies – Festival Footwear

ASOS funky sandals £10 // Love Moschino heart sandals £99 // ASOS gamble boots £20

Jelly shoes are having a real come-back and the festival fashion fairies are greatful – now you can still have your feet out in the air without the risk of your leather sandals getting completely recked. We can’t get enough of these adorable Moschino sandals but for a cheaper option ASOS has a great selection.

Biker Boots – Festival Footwear

Youth leather ankle boots £595 // Topshop buckle biker boots £95

These Jimmy Choo’s are one of the most wanted boots this summer, which is why they are firmly on our Editor’s lust list. Practical, comfortable and effortlessly cool they are the ultimate festival footwear. Rather on the pricey side, if you aren’t feeling so flush, this Topshop pair are the perfect affordable alternatives.

Trainers – Festival Footwear

Converse All Star canvas trainers £45 // ASOS dizzy plimsoles £15

At festivals you’re running around and dancing all over the place – if the weather is hot plimsole style trainers are the ideal comfort but trendy festival footwear. Of course Converse are the traditional ‘cool kid’ casual trainer, but we think these ASOS babies are seriously cute and ideal for the more colourful festival goer.

Slides – Festival Footwear

Birkenstock Arizona slides £135 // Topshop FANG sandals £48 // Whistles leather slides £115

Slides are the new sandals this year. The original slides are the likes of these Birkenstock‘s, but now every brand from the high street to high end has come out with their own version of this slip on sandal. These floral printed Topshop pair are adorable and perfect for that fun loving festival trend setter. Alternatively the design of the Whistles version are unbelievably comfortable, which is great when you’re traipsing over fields and dancing away to the music.

Tall Boots – Festival Footwear

Welligogs Sloane leather boots £179 // Hunter lipstick wellingtons £89

For me, boots are the best. They look great with shorts in the sunshine but if it pours with rain at least your feet are kept nice and dry. If you want an alternative to the usual wellingtons, these boots from Welligogs (left) are the ultimate festival footwear. Both incredibly functional and fashionable, they are ideal for all weather – and when you’re in the UK you never know what’s coming! I have a pair of these myself and can not rate them highly enough – they look great over a pair of jeans in the city for rainy days too! (available in other colors here)

Of course we wouldn’t be a very good magazine if we didn’t state the obvious with Hunters. I think this pair are particularly great – less garish than other ‘festival’ styles but have the nice touch of a pop of flirty hot pink at the back.
