We love a list as much as the next person – but an endless list of 20 something things to do in London in September makes our head hurt. So much choice. So little time. In the spirit of keeping it simple, we’ve handpicked three events worth your time and money. Here’s what’s hot in the capital this month:

1. For a Murder Mystery: Two Dolphins

What: Roll up, roll up. We’re excited about this one; it’s a truly unique, immersive murder mystery event that cleverly integrates food, music, dancing and visual arts into an intense theatrical experience. Think Secret Cinema meets Punchdrunk.

Beforehand, each guest will be given an individual character and their role in the mystery will be explained. The event will be running for only two nights, and what we love is that there’s absolutely no hierarchy of guests, and no actors; so not only will you be there to witness everything that unfolds, you’ll be creating it.

Why: Two Dolphins is the brainchild of a few university graduates who combine their love for organised fun and creativity into thrilling, immersive events. Two Dolphins’ last event saw them transform the old train tunnels of Loco Klub in Bristol into a magical Bar-mitzvah venue complete with speeches, a klezmer band, Israeli dancing, a three course meal and, of course, a mystery to solve. On the back of the success of this event, they’ve decided to bring their unique idea to London. For their launch event, you will be taken back to 1930 for a mining themed murder mystery… yes, you heard right. Expect an event like no other that immediately brings people together in friendship, fun and mystery.

Price: Tickets are priced at £39.99. For that you’ll get dinner, entertainment and your place in an elaborately organised and intricately planned mystery. You can apply for tickets here. Be quick as spaces, we hear, are limited.

Must be over 18 to attend.

2. For a Live Gospel Choir: Gospeloke

What: A chance to take those shower singing sessions to the stage with a gospel choir backed karaoke evening. Gone are the days of listening to woeful renditions of the Killers and Kings of Leon – Toni Robinson and her troop of 15 choir singers will give all the classics the harmonies and solos the soulful sounds they deserve.

Why: Gospeloke have been providing joyful, soul for four years. Each event gives you the chance to unleash your inner Turner. Even if you don’t choose to perform, just listening to the choir transform Karaoke classics to absolute showstoppers.

Price: There are four shows over the coming months with the first on thursday September 20th. Tickets start at £14 but you the VIP table options too if you want to come in a group. Buy here.
