Feeling festive but don’t want to go to a panto or another Christmas market? We’ve rounded up the best Christmas-themed events in London this December, from the theatrical to the adventurous to the outright carnage.

Not sure where to eat this December? Check out London’s best festive menus

1. Lose Yourself in an Immersive Dining Experience at Nutracker Noir

Picture of Nutcracker Noir dancers performing while guests sit at dining tables watching The Lowdown: The Nutcracker Noir is immersive dining done properly. You enter through a pop-up coffee shop, are introduced to the characters individually, and then enter the impressive red velvet-laden event space that rings more black-tie dinner than Shoreditch. What follows is a spectacular 5-course menu, each course intertwined with performances full of first-class theatrics, singing and dancing. The ensemble really shines, and the more you are willing to engage with them, the more they’ll seek you out! I went to a preview night and had a blast. For pure spectacle, this is not to be missed.

When: Until 21 December 2025

Where: Protein Studios, Shoreditch

Price: £48 for bar seating, from £115 for the 5-course dinner

2. Go Ice Skating at Battersea Power Station

The Lowdown: London is blessed with spectacular ice skating venues, but this could yet be the best. The rink is set against a backdrop of the iconic and newly renovated Battersea Power Station and centred around a 30-foot Christmas tree, making this the perfect active Christmas-themed event. GLIDE have partnered with Roebuck Estates to offer a Skate & Sparkling ticket, which includes a glass of sparkling wine.

When: Until 4 January 2026

Where: Battersea Power Station

Price: From £19.80 for adults

3. Listen to Christmas Carols by Candlelight with I Dodici

Members of I Dodici choice

The Lowdown: It wouldn’t be Christmas without some carols, and there’s no better setting for it than the gorgeous St James’s Church. I Dodici, a London-based chamber choir conducted by Gabriel Chernick, returns again this year to sing exquisitely beautiful carols with a light-hearted touch. It’s the perfect evening to ignite that festive spirit with some red wine and minced pies (you might even dust off your own singing voice). If you can’t make it to their first performance, they will also be performing at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 27 December at 5pm.

When: 19:30 on Thursday, 18 December 2025

Where: St James’s Church Sussex Gardens, Lancaster Gate

Price: £20.21 for adults

4. Get Raucous at Humbug: Santa’s Christmas Dive Bar Experience

Rock & Roll Santa on stage

The Lowdown: Billed as the holy grail of Christmas parties, strap yourself in for the loosest festive night out there is. Expect a night of cabaret, confetti, sing-alongs and surprises, all hosted by Rock & Roll Santa himself. For those after a night of high-energy antics, this is the event for you.

When: Until 31 December 2025

Where: Waterloo Vaults

Price: From £22

5. Climb The O2 to Reach the UK’s Highest Snow Globe

The Lowdown: If you’re looking for a festive thrill, then climbing onto the 52m high roof of The O2 may be just the thing for you. As well as views of the London skyline, you can now get yourself in the festive spirit by enjoying a glass of mulled wine in the UK’s highest snowglobe.

Where: The O2, Greenwich

Price: From £44

6. Release Your Inner Child at Winter Funland, Europe’s Biggest Indoor Christmas Funfair

The Lowdown: Coming to London for the very first time, Olympia London will be transformed into a vast indoor Christmas wonderland, complete with a full-sized ice rink, a festive circus, and a huge selection of family rides and attractions. All the rides are included in one ticket price, so no need to begrudgingly comment that the rides were £1 each when you were a kid! The perfect place to bring your niece/nephew.

Where: Olympia London

Price: From £37
