White truffles come into season from the very end of September to December and are unearthed from Tuscany’s bountiful countryside. Il Borro Tuscan Bistro selects the finest from their trusted supplier, Urbani, who is an authority on trading this rare and specialist ingredient.

Truffle aficionados will enjoy starters including carpaccio di manzo e tartufo bianco: thin slices of beef tenderloin dressed with Il Borro’s extra virgin olive oil from its Tuscan estate, and finished with freshly grated slices of white truffle. Vegetarians will enjoy asparagi gratinati, uovo al tegamino, e tartufo bianco: gratinee of asparagus served with an oozing egg yolk and grated white truffle.

With the primi course comes plates of comforting homemade pasta and risotto, with decadent dishes featuring tagliolini al tartufo bianco – ribbons of tagliolini served in an opulent butter sauce enriched with white truffle; or risotto al burro, Parmigiano Reggiano e tartufo bianco: slow cooked Acquerello risotto with aged Parmigiano Reggiano and fresh white truffle.

If you’re looking to elevate your meal, tuck into the grand pizza al tartufo bianco, a thin base baked in the restaurant’s in-house pizza oven topped with creamy buffalo mozzarella PDO, and white truffle.
