The cottages are beautiful in design, with a classic English country house style, that will make you feel right at home. Expect four posted beds, comfy sofas, crackling log fires and beautiful gardens for exploring during the summer months. The surroundings of the cottages are truly wonderful, with gardens to explore with the family, and lots of fun to be had. What’s more, the cottages boast their own top facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa. Come here to relax, escape from the world and find a little tranquility in the countryside.
Bruern Cottages: The Accommodation
There’s a range of accommodation to suit all families and visitors, ranging from Weir House, which sleeps 10 people, to Cope, which sleeps 2. We stayed at Saratoga, which sleeps 2, and absolutely loved it; the cottage is beautiful in design, with unique quirks and design aspects to make you feel right at home. The cottage has a lovely king size four-poster bed, double-height drawing room, en suite bathroom and its own garden – the perfect place for two people to relax. We loved the look and feel of the cottage; full of soft pink and cream colours, beautiful oak furniture, terracotta kitchen and colourful garden. Their log fire is the perfect thing for the colder winter months, and you can curl up by the fire and watch one of the DVDs from their wide selection, which is total heaven. Whether you’re staying for one night or five, your cottage will become your home in no time – trust me.
Although the cottages are self-catered, all your amenities are taken care of with their thoughtful Welcome Package. They provide essentials like milk, butter, eggs and sausages waiting for you, along with a few little luxuries like champagne, homemade cakes and local artisan cheese. It’s a lovely little touch that makes you feel part of the Bruern family, and means you can sip bubbly in the bath the second you arrive, which is a total win for me.
I loved everything about Bruern Cottages – the design, the location, the facilities, the little personal touches. It’s the kind of place you want to visit time and time again, and can easily lose track of time here, as you melt into the calm and serene settings of the Cotswolds. A must visit.
