If you’re not familiar with The Vurger Co – they’re an unstoppable force on the vegan food scene in London. After a number of pop-ups both at festivals and throughout London, along with an incredibly successful crowdfunding campaign last year, The Vurger Co opened their east London site this year. Think burgers, mac n’ cheese, Oreo milkshakes and gloriously crisp sweet potato fries.
Specially for the festival, The Vurger Co and Chloe Coscarelli will be whipping up their special vegan burger, Chloe’s Truffle Cheese Vurger. The burger will feature a shroom patty, topped with caramelised onion jam and oozing with truffle cheese and smashed avocado.
Chloe Coscarelli has been vegan since 2004 – a time when veggie burgers were still feared by the general public, and just tasted a little, well, sad. Since then, she has been at forefront of the vegan revolution: Chloe believes that vegan can still be tasty, wholesome and she practices what she preaches.
Chloe has recently written her book called Chloe Flavor, which showcases new approaches to veganism with dishes like maple bacon benedict, Hawaiian teriyaki pineapple burger, and cajun jambalaya with scallion biscuits. These dishes are playful, colourful, and ridiculously delicious. Best of all, she’s made them as fast and as easy as possible because that’s exactly how she likes to cook. Chloe will be attending festival and will be present on The Vurger Co’s stand in the afternoon to serve up some burgers and sign copies of her new book, Chloe Flavor.

And if you can’t make the journey to LA – don’t worry, we’ve got you. Head to The Vurger Co’s gaff in Shoreditch and feast on a mega selection of vegan fast food. There’s everything from sweet corn fritter burgers to their special Tabasco burger featuring an aubergine patty and pickled red cabbage. Other soul satisfying highlights from the menu include the mouth-watering Classic, the Mexican and the MLT, packed full of baked mushrooms, rocket and topped with walnut and sundried tomato paste.
