It’s not difficult to fall in love with Dubai. Its energy and drive to be the biggest and best place in the world to work, live and holiday in is inspiring. From architecture to entertainment, whatever Dubai sets out to do, it accomplishes it in style.

So to celebrate everything we love about this Emirate, the travel experts at Destination2.co.uk have created this visual to chart all the record-breaking achievements in Dubai.

A holiday in this city covers everything. Only in Dubai can you enjoy beaches one day, and a snowboarding session down the slopes the next. Middle Eastern-flavoured street food for lunch and Michelin-starred dining in the evening. A day out to the ancient souks surrounded by some of the most futuristic buildings on the planet.

The infographic demonstrates the scale and wonder of Dubai. From the mighty Burj Khalifa, the tallest manmade structure in the world at 828 metres high, to the Burj al-Arab, the only ‘7-star’ hotel in the world.

When it comes to entertainment, tourists don’t have any opportunity to get bored. Whether it’s dropping by Ski Dubai – one of the largest indoor snow parks in the world – or taking a trip to the biggest indoor theme park in the world, the IMG.

And Dubai is a record holder for a lot more things, the world’s biggest sweet shop, Candylicious, is in the world’s biggest shopping mall, which is next to the world’s largest suspended aquarium.

And while there’s so much more to Dubai than breaking records, it’s one of the many reasons why its one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world, and one of our personal favourite places to holiday.
