Bisate Lodge, Rwanda

Wilderness Safaris proudly announced the opening of the stunning Bisate Lodge in June 2017, its first camp in Rwanda. Situated next to the renowned Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, Bisate Lodge comprises just six spacious forest villas, creating a luxurious base from which to enjoy an extraordinary gorilla conservation experience and life-changing journey to a beautiful region. Situated within the amphitheatre of an eroded volcanic cone, the 42-hectare Bisate site is incomparable in terms of its natural splendour, with sweeping views towards the Karisimbi, Bisoke and Mikeno volcanoes.

Conrad Bora Bora Nui, Bora Bora

On the 5th of April 2017, Conrad Hotels & Resorts welcomed Conrad Bora Bora Nui to its portfolio. The property is the destination’s first five-star resort to debut in ten years and it is home to the only two-story bungalows in Bora Bora. Guests can indulge in treatments at the Hinda Spa, located on a hidden hilltop with glorious views of the far-reaching lagoon, or sip cocktails at the Upa Upa lounge bar where the glass flooring showcases an array of coral reef and exotic sea life.

Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, USA

The 1st of June saw the opening of the highly-acclaimed Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. World renowned interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon has created a contemporary Art Deco masterpiece with hand-painted murals, custom crystal chandeliers and elegant Lalique installations. This new hotel epitomises luxury and exclusivity and each guest is assigned their own personal concierge on arrival. Furthermore, the rooftop pool deck, available only to hotel guests, is the loftiest and largest rooftop destination of its kind in Beverly Hills. If that weren’t enough world-class dining is also available with three highly anticipated venues created by the legendary Michelin star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.

 

New Road Hotel, London

New Road Hotel will be opening its doors in Whitechapel, London, this October. Inspired by the increased popularity for social living and accessible luxury, the new concept hotel will be offering guests everything they need, and nothing they don’t. Independently owned, this 80-room boutique hotel will fit perfectly into the East London scene, ideally placed for both leisure and business travellers alike with easy links to all the sights of London and the City. New Road Hotel’s concept will focus around stripped-back luxury and necessity, bringing guests together in their welcoming lobby spaces. No hotel is complete without a famous chef taking the reins at the signature restaurant, and New Road Hotel will boast Mr White’s English Chophouse run by Marco Pierre White.  

Ritz Carlton Koh Samui, Thailand

The most hotly anticipated opening in Thailand this year, YTL Hotels is set to open the Ritz Carlton Koh Samui doors on 1st November 2017. The property is set to have a Spa Village, the concept made famous by YTL Hotels, as well as stunning F&B outlets and a total immersion into the Koh Samui way of life.

The Anam, Vietnam 

Having celebrated its grand opening in late April 2017, The Anam’s 117 villas, 96 rooms and suites, three swimming pools, three exquisite restaurants and two bars, as well as a Balinese spa are set on a sprawling 12-hectare estate and provide a tranquil, high-end alternative to nearby Nha Trang.
