At the heart of Heckfield’s seasonal offering lies its acclaimed Home Farm and biodynamic Market Garden, showcasing the best of autumn’s harvest. From cavolo nero, leeks and romanesco to hearty root vegetables – each ingredient is transformed by Culinary Director Skye Gyngell and her team into comforting and nourishing dishes at the estate’s two signature restaurants: the Green Michelin-starred Marle and the open-flamed Hearth.
Heckfield Place: The Workshops
This autumn, guests can engage in The Art of Preservation workshop, led by Development Chef Dor Harel. This hands-on experience explores timeless culinary techniques such as pickling, fermenting, and preserving, enabling participants to celebrate the season’s abundance and prepare for the months ahead – complete with recipes and jars to take home.
Heckfield Place: The Festive Spirit
Marking the season’s festive spirit, Heckfield Place will host a traditional Thanksgiving feast on 27th November, featuring seasonal dishes crafted from the estate’s finest ingredients. Looking ahead to the festive season, Heckfield Place extends an open invitation to treat the house as home during its month-long celebration featuring beloved traditions and new experiences. Highlights include the Christmas tree lighting with mulled wine and hot chocolate, wreath-making workshops, dried fairy crafting, cocktail gift-making, Christmas readings and sleigh rides with Father Christmas and his reindeer.
