1. Get Trendy at London Fashion Weekend
What: After yet another fabulous fashion week hit the city, this time it’s the weekend’s turn. Vodafone’s London Fashion Weekend is back, and includes catwalk shows, industry talks, a chance to shop the collections AND bespoke goodie bags. With Toni&Guy on hand to spruce up hairdos, it’ll be a stylish weekend indeed.
When: Models began gracing the catwalks on Thursday, September 18th but the fashion doesn’t stop until Sunday, September 21st.

2. Have an Awesome Outdoor Cinema Night
What: The Luna Cinema is embracing the throwback theme and are showing the original high school musical, Grease, on its outside screen on Saturday. Grab a blanket, a picnic, and your best singing voice and relive those classic movie moments. You know you still remember all the words! The screening starts at 7:30, and there is a bar and food available if you want to savour up the atmosphere beforehand.

Weather: The showing will go ahead whatever the weather, so wear something warm and maybe pack a mac, just in case!

3. Celebrate African Music in London
Where: If you’re after a musical festival with a difference, you’re in luck as the African Music Festival is in town. The best African musicians, including JUJU! among a host of others, are performing a show in Brixton, and if you want to experience the fun and liveliness of another culture without buying a plane ticket, you won’t want to miss this!
Where: The Ritzy Cinema, Brixton Oval, London, SW2 1JG.
The fun starts from 8pm on Saturday, and tickets are available on the door at £10
4. Celebrate the Beautiful Borough Market
What: The famous Borough Market celebrates its millennium by inviting the public to mark the occasion, with their footprints. In an event entitled Footsteps in Time, the market will kick off a year of festivities by encouraging members of the public to create a colourful trail of footprints, culminating in a unique art piece created just by their visitors.
Where: If you want to leave your mark on the market, visit the all day event on Saturday at Borough Market, London SE1.

5. Enjoy an Open Mic Night
What: If discovering new music is up your street, or you’re hiding a voice that rivals current chart-toppers, look no further than this Open Mic night in Tufnell Park. The Hideaway Bar provides the perfect backdrop for your budding talent, or you could just sit back and relax with a glass of wine and a slice of their famous pizza, and boast to your friends about who you discovered.

When: Singers take to the stage at 7:30, and admission is free.
