What: We’re well and truly in the middle of summer and with temperatures expected to soar above a sweltering 30C before the week is out, Lynx has come to the rescue by giving out FREE ice cream and deodorant to help cool things down on 6th July. 

Why: Launched by Anthony Joshua, Jesse Lingard, and Tinie Tempah, the Ice Chill Experience will see hot Londoners receive a can and a cone to celebrate Lynx’s Ice Chill range to help guys keep cool in the heat. Between 11 am and 6 pm on Saturday, you can get your hands on a number of mouth-watering ice creams including lemon and mint and 99-soft serve with blueberry drizzle and yes, I’ll say it again; it’s FREE.

For an All-American Independence Day Party: Genuine Liquorette

What: Liquorette bar will be paying homage to their roots by hosting an all-American party with Four Rose bourbon to bring a touch of Kentucky to Fitzrovia. This Independence Day, Liquorette will have a selection of full-bodied cocktails to try as well as NY-inspired pizzas and hot dogs. 

Why: Commencing from 5 pm on Thursday 4th July, this Independence themed party offers the perfect opportunity to have some fun after work. Try their 4th July Hard Lemonade, created in collaboration with deep south bourbon Four Roses before indulging in a delicious plate of American grub. Get down with the party spirit by taking part in watermelon eating contests and if you’re feeling lucky, take a swing at one of their star-shaped piñatas to win a cocktail-themed prize.

For a VIP Dinner You Will Never Forget: The LaLiT Pride Party

What: On Friday 5th July, get ready for a decadent VIP dinner in The LaLiT, London’s pan-Indian dining destination for an evening of entertainment and scrumptious food courtesy of Executive Chef Santosh Shah. One of the best things to do in London in July 2019; accompanied by endless prosecco, beer and wine for an hour and a half, this Pride celebration will feature trans icon, Amanda Lepore plus many more. After the show, get your dance moves on with tunes by the queer queen, DJS Tete Bang and Prince JayJay. 

Why: VIP diners can enjoy an eclectic array of dishes including aubergine steak with coconut sukka, spiced tofu mince and Malabar sauce; and seabass with grilled avocado, olive crumble and coriander chutney. Finish it off with a slice of liquorice dark chocolate and lime cake with clove smoked lemon curd, mango crisp and caramel popcorn. For a Cuban Cocktail Masterclass: DrinkUp London Daiquiri Experiment

What: If you love a Daiquiri then we’ve got just the thing for you. On Wednesday 3rd July DrinkUp London is returning to Shoreditch’s very own TT Liquor to host the ultimate cocktail masterclass. 

Why: Guests are invited to take part in a 75-minute cocktail masterclass which celebrates and explores the complex flavours within this Cuban tipple. Choose between either the 6:30 pm or 8:15 pm session and delve into the mastery behind the perfect Daiquiri. Guests will be treated to a tasting of a variety of well-known and slightly more unusual rums before experimenting to find that perfect ratio between sweet and citrus with guidance from the DrinkUp experts themselves.

For a Fabulous Pride Weekend: Pride at The Curtain Hotel

What: Get out your diaries because to celebrate Pride this year, The Curtain Hotel is hosting a number of events to take you through to the weekend. This 4th July, celebrate Independence Day in style by kicking off your Pride celebrations with a night of cabaret. 5th July, The Curtain is hosting a queer and black book club, creating a space for African, Caribbean and Afro-Latina book lovers to come together. On 6th July DJ Miguel Dare will be hosting GET LIT, a blow-out Pride party in The Curtain’s nightclub. 

Why: The Curtain’s busy Pride schedule is one not to be missed! One of the best things to do in London in July 2019; expect cabaret on the rooftop LIDO featuring a magical night of vogueing sailors, mermaids and more with an epic after party to finish off the night. If literature is more your thing, the queer + black book club will be hosting the writer and poet Yrsa Daley-Ward who will be reading an excerpt from her book BONE. For the party people, DJ Miguel Dare’s GET LIT will bring together diverse crowds from music and fashion for a special night to remember.
