London’s food scene is turning up the heat this October, with supper clubs, chef takeovers and one-night-only menus taking centre stage. From milestone birthdays to pasta parties and bold cross-cultural feasts, the city’s kitchens are serving celebration with every course.

1. For a Pop-Up: The Aubrey x Ana Da Costa 

When: Monday 6th and 7th October

What: Following the successful launch of The Aubrey’s guest chef series, Youkoso with The Rangoon Sisters in September, Ana Da Costa of the supper club FAT TEA will present her aromatic Macanese cuisine on 6th and 7th October. Her menu is a tapestry of bold flavours and textures, featuring dishes such as Aubergine Sambal and skewers of Capela with soy-cured yolk. Guests can enjoy the menu together, family-style, sharing, dipping, and discovering the vibrant tastes of Macanese cooking. The menu is priced at £80, including a welcome drink that has been inspired by Ana’s childhood memories and flavours, expertly created by The Aubrey’s award-winning mixology team.

2. For a Sherry Party: Bar Valette

When: Tuesday 7th October

What: Since opening, Isaac McHale’s  Bar Valette has placed an emphasis on sherry and ‘sherry-style’ wines, nodding to Spanish drinking culture and offering rare bottles from esteemed producers. On 7th October, the team are welcoming Valdespino, a 500-year-old sherry house, for a night of feasting and drinking, celebrating the smoky, salty and rich flavours of Jerez. Co-hosted by Ignacio López, the global Valdespino brand ambassador, the evening will include a set menu along with a selection of sherries, including unfortified single vineyard whites from the Pago Macharnudo Alto.

3. For a Chef Residency: Carousel x Miller Prada

When: 7th – 11th October

What: Colombia’s Miller Prada will take over the Carousel residency kitchen for four nights and is set to , showcase his signature style that fuses Michelin-starred open-fire cooking with Japanese precision. One of the world’s most exciting young chefs, Prada’s career spans The Ledbury, Pollen Street Social, HUMO, and six formative years under Endo Kazutoshi at Endo at the Rotunda.  Prada will bring a bold, deeply personal menu to Carousel, with dishes such as Crispy bomba rice with girolles, pied de mouton and jamón, and Red mullet with nixtamalized corn and coffee from his family farm.

4. For a Birthday Menu: The Palomar and Evelyn’s Table

When: Thursday 9th October

What: Studio Paskin is celebrating 10 years of The Palomar this October with two one-night-only menus. On 9 October, head chef Dan Murray and development chef Ella Gibbons will showcase the restaurant’s signature dishes, spiced with influences from their forthcoming Sydney outpost. Nearby, Michelin-starred Evelyn’s Table will pay tribute with a menu by Seamus Sam, reworking Palomar flavours through its own refined, ingredient-led style. Expect lamb shawarma consommé, Cornish bluefin tuna and a fig, pistachio and honey mille-feuille.

5. For a Collaborative Menu: Aaron Potter x Adam Byatt 

When: Monday 13th October

What: Aaron Potter will be joined in the kitchen by Adam Byatt for a one-off collaboration dinner at Aaron’s Belgravia restaurant – Wildflowers – marking a reunion for the two chefs who first cooked side by side at Adam’s Michelin-starred Trinity. In tribute to their shared history, the five-course menu will revisit dishes and flavours from years spent cooking together, reimagined through Wildflowers’ contemporary lens and Adam’s classical influence. Dishes include: Wildflowers focaccia, made with Trinity’s 20-year-old sourdough starter; Cuttlefish baked rice with pig’s trotter, pork jowl & fried quail’s eggs, and Salted caramel custard tart.

6. For a Supper Club: Chef Dana Choi x  Chef Tasha Marikkar

When: Saturday 25th October

What: This October, The Royal Exchange hosts The Jang Supper Club – a one-off dining event blending Korean and Sri Lankan flavours. Chef Dana Choi teams up with Sri Lankan-born chef and author Tasha Marikkar to create a four-course tasting menu of bold, cross-cultural cooking. Expect dishes such as white fish crudo with doenjang dressing, lobster tail poached in doenjang butter, jaggery-glazed beef or duck, and a spiced curd pannacotta to finish.

7. For a Pasta Party: Gloria x Alfredo alla Scrofa

When: Tuesday 28th October

What: Later in the month, Big Mamma’s Shoreditch trattoria Gloria will welcome Mario Mozzetti of Rome’s Alfredo alla Scrofa – birthplace of the original fettuccine Alfredo. For one night only, Mozzetti and his team will serve their century-old recipe alongside a four-course Roman menu from Big Mamma’s Filippo La Gattuta. Expect supplì, vitello saltimbocca, tiramisu – and, of course, Alfredo’s butter-and-parmesan pasta, whisked to silkiness at the table. All proceeds go to The Felix Project.
