1. For a Bar Takeover: Lyaness 

What: On Tuesday 28th February, flavour company Empirical will celebrate the UK launch of its spirits – SOKA and Symphony 6 – with an unmissable takeover from some of the world’s most innovative bartending talents at award-winning bar Lyaness.

The Event: Six globally-renowned bartenders will showcase the new releases with an exclusive cocktail menu. The evening will be an opportunity to meet a host of talented personalities that all champion innovation and craftsmanship.

Empirical and Lyaness’ guest bartenders include; Jose Luis of Mexico City’s Licorería Limantour; GN Chan and Faye Chen of New York’s Double Chicken Please and Ola Carlsson of Sweden’s Lucy’s Flower Shop, all of which have recently placed in The World’s 50 Best Bars 2022 list. Also attending is Dean Shury of Barcelona’s iconic 14 De La Rosa which placed in the prestigious 50 Best Discovery List. The event will run from 5pm until midnight.

2. For a MasterChef Dinner: Ekstedt at The Yard

What:Ekstedt at The Yard, will be hosting an exclusive eight-course dinner in partnership with Nikita Pathakji winner of MasterChef the professionals (season 15) and Junior Sous Chef at Michelin-starred restaurant W8, on Thursday 23rd February.

The Event: Nikita has also been classically trained in some of London’s most premium restaurants including; Lanesborough Hotel, Claude Bosi at Bibendum and Core By Clare Smyth. Nikitia will be cooking alongside Therese Andersson, Sous Chef at Ekstedt at the Yard, to create a bespoke menu priced at £135 (extra £115 with a wine pairing). Highlights will include; Wood oven Baked Flatbread served with Smoked Cauliflower, Winter Mushroom, Allspice Butter; Grilled Octopus, Takoyaki sauce, Japanese Mayonnaise, Furikake Doughnut and Venison Celeriac with Pear, Lapsang Souchong.

3. For a Guest Chef Series: akin

What: Introducing Adriana Cavita’s newest project akin – a series of chef nights at Cavita in partnership with some of her favourite Mexican restaurants from across Europe and Mexico.

The Event: The first event will see Hugo Soto of Cosecha Taller in Zacatecas visit Cavita to cook a one-off menu in his style from Tuesday 21st – Saturday 25th February. Hugo has worked at some top restaurants after an internship in San Sebastian under Martin Berasategui including Dany Garcia’s Manzanilla and Michelin-starred Brooklyn restaurant run by Chef Fredrik Berselius, Aska.

Dishes from the menu (£78pp) will include Wild sea bass ceviché cured with árbol chile sauce and dried prawns and Gordita de chile relleno – a poblano chile and cheese gordita with Zacatecas-style red rice.

4. For a Supper Club: Ganymede

What: Ganymede has announced the latest lineup of its sell-out Supplier Supper Club series, with the next one taking place on Thursday 23rd February in partnership with premium mixer brand, Double Dutch.

The Event: Famed for unexpected flavour combinations, from Pomegranate & Basil to Cucumber & Watermelon, join Double Dutch founders Raissa and Joyce for an unforgettable evening where you’ll embark on a guided tasting of three perfect pours, paired beautifully with delicious dishes from Ganymede’s Chef Director Oliver Marlowe.

5. For a Madri Gras Celebration: Louie 

What: Louie – the West Street townhouse which draws on its New Orleanian roots – is throwing a Madri Gras celebration on Tuesday 21st February. 

The Event: The restaurant, which draws on its New Orleanian roots, will host a travelling jazz band in their newly launched bar – The Alligator Bar – whilst the first and second-floor restaurant will serve southern favourites, including seafood gumbo, BBQ lobster and a spiced pecan pie to finish.

6. For a Mexican Fiesta: Hacha x Patrón Tequila

What: London agaveria Hacha and its award-winning bottled cocktail brand Mirror Margarita are running a special month-long activation ‘Escape to Tulum’ – in partnership with Patrón Tequila from Wednesday 22nd February.

The Event: Chill beach club-style with an exclusive menu of outstanding Patrón Tequila cocktails, inspired by Tulum and its local produce. The drinks can be enjoyed alongside delicious Mexican snacks and dishes from Hacha’s kitchen partners, Tigre Tacos at Hacha Dalston and Nopalito at Hacha Brixton.
