On Tuesday 25th September the world-famous Market Hall at Borough Market will house some of London’s top chefs, bars and street food traders in a bid to create the ‘world’s greatest menu’, with many of the dishes available for this night only.

Action Against Hunger: The Lowdown

YouTube favourite DJ BBQ will host the 6th annual Auction, which has raised more than half a million pounds since it began in 2012. Action Against Hunger is a global humanitarian organisation that takes decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger. The organisation saves the lives of malnourished children, ensures families can access clean water, food, training and healthcare, and enables entire communities to be free from hunger. With 7,700 staff in nearly 50 countries, its programmes reached 20.2 million people in 2017.

Action Against Hunger: The Event

Get ready for 20 street food pop-ups, live DJ sets, a table tennis challenge and a number of pop-up bars scattered throughout the party. James Lowe, Anna Hansen, Nieves Barragan Mohacho, Yauatcha Patisserie, Smokestak, Honest Burgers, Andina, Ceviche, KS Ate Here, Luca, The Begging Bowl, Horn OK Please, Jennifer Earle, Khanom Krok, Claw, Busaba, Michael Reid from M Restaurants and Adam Handling Group are just some of this year’s confirmed chefs, restaurants and traders, in what looks set to be the best line up for the event to date.

Tickets include seven dishes of your choice from the street food stalls, five drinks of your choice including Espresso Martinis by L’Unico Caffe Musetti, Chase GB Gin and Tonics, beer from Fourpure and wine from Bedales, and unlimited snacks from Well & Truly, Snaffling Pig, Ape & Candy Kittens

Champagne Taittinger, supporters of Action Against Hunger for over a decade, will host Taittinger Time: a wheel of fortune style game where guests can win a glass, bottle or Magnum on the spot. And throughout the evening, you will be able to bid on a host of food and drink experiences in the silent and live auction hosted by Tom Best, Christie’s youngest ever auctioneer.
