On Sunday 2nd September, Hoppers is raising funds for the victims of recent flooding in Kerala with a traditional Keralan lunch at their Soho restaurant. Expect an all-vegetarian, sadya-style meal, with every penny of all proceeds raised going to the Plan India charity.

Hoppers’ Banana Leaf Thali will feature classics like Yam Avial with coconut and curry leaf; pumpkin and cow pea curry; a sour raw banana kaalan with yoghurt; drumstick sambhar with lentils and tamarind; tomato rasam; and a selection of house pickles and condiments; and will be followed by sweet payasams for dessert.

Hoppers will also auction a feast for 8 guests at their St Christopher’s Place restaurant via Instagram, featuring top picks from their recently-launched family feasts such as lamb shoulder and fish head kari, as well as a visit from the new punch pot trolley. Hoppers restaurants will also be collecting £1 from every bill in September to donate the cause.

Hoppers will seat guests on a first come, first served basis, from 12noon to 5pm.  The sadya feast will be priced at £30 a head, with guests able to contribute in excess of that if they like.
