About Time: You Made the Most of Your WeekendBy Angelica Malin
Let’s face it: we all work too hard. While working less isn’t really an option (not for us, anyway), the best way to make the most of your work-life balance. And that includes really making the most of your weekend.
Hear us out: we know the weekend is the time to do all your household chores, get the shopping done and yes – catch up on sleep. It might also be the time to go drinking with your mates, or visiting your nan. Whatever you end up doing, life is only what you make of it – so make it a good’un! It’s time to make the most of your weekend; here are a few ideas to get you started!
Check Out What’s On in Town
Wherever you live, there are always cool events happening around you – and they usually are on at the weekend! Checking out your local council’s website, or keeping your eyes peeled for notice boards advertising what’s happening in your local area is a surefire way to be in the know. Potential events include local fairs, special theatre shows, markets and more. You’ll be amazed at what’s on offer… And if you don’t find something to your liking, check the next town or council over! Failing that, there’s always TimeOut.
Have Some Online Fun
Here in good old Blighty, we can’t be too optimistic about the weekend weather…even if it’s been sunny and blissful all week long.
As such, it’s always good to have a backup plan for rainy days at home…and what better way to make the most of your weekend than by making some epic free bets? Yep, there are some awesome sites out there, with all the free bets you can think of – and then some. It’s a great way of passing a rainy day doing something interesting – and free!
Go For A Walk
Another great thing about the weekend? The freedom it brings you. Whereas during the week, we’re usually confined to an office, a car or some other space we have to be in, at the weekend, it’s pretty much our choice of where to go and what to do.
Something nice, free and a little bit different to do is go for a walk. It’s nice to be outdoors for a bit, and finding a new place to explore is even more fun! Load up Google Maps, find your nearest green area, or an area you don’t really know or haven’t been, go there and take a walk. Your mind and body will thank you for it!
Try That New Bar or Restaurant
Ok, this one is never going to be free – not unless you have some very generous mates or benefactors – but trying something new, maybe that bar you’ve had your eye on or the new restaurant on the high street – is a great way to do something at the weekend. After all, what better stuff do you have to do?
We thought so.
