We know we’ve suggested every romantic idea for Valentine’s Day already; from meal kits to DIY boxes to all the booze you’ll need to have the most romantic night possible. However, some of that may not be your thing, and we get that romance is difficult in lockdown and sometimes you just want to do something a bit less… luvvy duvvy.

Well, have no fear as craft beer legends Goose Island are putting on the first-ever Spotlight Festival this weekend, which looks set to bring all the Valentine’s vibes you’re looking for, without any of the schmaltz.

Streaming live from Hackney’s iconic Moth Club, the night will see four vital new acts take to the venue’s stage for the first time in nearly a year, with all proceeds funding the capital’s grassroots scene. Bombastic indie poppers Bamily are headlining the night, and look set to be joined by much-hyped alt-outfit Malady, rising pop star Stella Talpo, and South American songwriter and unbelievable talent, Attawalla.

As if that wasn’t enough, Goose Island have even brewed a special beer for the event, a highly sessionable 4.8% IPA that is said to pack a punch with flavours of grapefruit and orange. For those missing a draught pint, Goose Island’s very own Brewpub are also delivering 32oz “crowlers” London wide, with delivery available through Uber Eats and Deliveroo.

Spotlight festival takes place 7pm on Sunday 14th Feb, tickets are available here.
