Trinity Upstairs, Adam Byatt’s restaurants situated above Michelin starred restaurant Trinity, has curated a number of Wine Dinners events to see us all through the spring and summer months. Based in the heart of Clapham Old Town, Adam bagged the Best Sommelier category at the GQ Food & Drink Awards 2020 with Sara Rossi by his side.

With the first evening on June 7th, the intimate events – which see Adam cooking and sommelier Sara matching the wine – kicks off with an English Shellfish and Frerejean Freres Champagne dinner.

The evening will begin with a selection of Adam’s favourite oysters before moving onto ‘Risotto Ricci’ (sea urchins from Galicia in a summer truffle risotto finished with Champagne). Next up: Cornish blue Lobster minestrone with summer vegetables and lovage. Rounding off the savoury courses will be Orkney hand-dived scallops, alongside seaweed butter, green apple and hazelnuts. Dessert will come in the form of St Clements tart with clotted Jersey cream, before moving onto the cheese course, featuring 36-month aged gouda.

The evening starts at 7pm for a pre-dinner drink and some nibbles, a quick talk over the menu and wine pairings for the night, and dinner is served from 7.15pm. Expect some dishes made in the room and a view straight into the kitchen. Guests are guaranteed an evening that will provide a few hours of pure unadulterated food and wine escapism from the crazy mad world we all now live in.

Bookings for the events can be made by calling Upstairs on 0207 622 119, emailing upstairs@trinityrestaurant.co.uk or via the Eventbrite page.
