The Salon team are letting the vino flow and tunes play at their Strictly Bangers night at their newly opened wine store; a series which brings together their passion for killer wine and great music.

Once a month from April, top London sommeliers, including Mattia Bianchi of Berber & Q, Florian Siepert from Goodman, Daniel Willis of The Clove Club and brothers Francis and Mat Roberts from Westerns Laundry and Primeur, will be bringing their best bottles to the table and matching it with their top tunes.

Strictly Bangers: The Run-Down

Dipping into a range of low intervention and natural wines from Salon’s shelves, and bringing one bottle from their own collection, guests can expect rare, cult wines with playlists ranging from classic house, 80s disco and boogie, to dance floor jazz, 90s hip-hop and rub a dub reggae.

First up on Thursday (5th April), Berber & Q’s Mattia Bianchi will be serving up some rare bottles from Oregon, USA, from talented producers, such as Minimus Wines, Kelley Fox and more, alongside music that will remind you of sunsets in Ibiza, looking at the sea from a chiringuito on the beach. On 3rd May, Florian Siepert from Goodman who will likely be bringing out a “dry Riesling spesh, with zingy acid and floral aromatics” and exploring the “Kompakt diaspora with a sojourn via East Coast hip hop and a splash of rubadub”. Next will be Daniel Willis from The Clove Club on 7th June, with a selection of cult classics and finally, on 5th July, the Roberts brothers will be playing some afro-beat and disco, while pouring some Christian Tschida ‘Brutal’ from magnum as well as selecting some of the more natural and juicy end of the Salon cellar.
