What: Granola Bowl (£6)

Expect: Homemade Gluten Free Granola, Strawberry, Blueberry, Coconut Flakes, Hemp Seeds and Bee Pollen with Coconut Yogurt or Greek Yogurt.

The Venue: The Good Life Eatery is a favourite pit stop for the healthy foodie crowd, come here lap up a bit of zen and delicious healthy food. You’ll find The Good Life tucked away from the Kings Road, and they’ve also got a branch in Marylebone, which is much calmer, and still does their fantastic salads and healthy breakfast dishes. Come here for the Rise n’ Shine bowl in the morning – it’s an About Time favourite.

2. For Pancakes: Farm Girl

What: Berry Pancakes (£9.50)

Expect: Benoit’s homemade buckwheat pancake mix, with amber maple syrup, fresh berries and coconut shavings.

The Venue: Farm Girl in Notting Hill is the hip hangout for the yummy mummy and healthy crowd alike. This Aussie Cafe serve up smoothies, salads and all the brekkie dishes –  you’ll be hard pressed to find something you don’t like. Come here for homemade granola, porridge and excellent coffee – prepare to queue on the weekends, the secret is out about Farm Girl. You can add avocado onto your porridge. We’re not sure if that’s something you want to do, but give it a go.

The Venue: Detox Kitchen serves fresh, bold and delicious dishes that are free from wheat, dairy and refined sugar. Their focus is on celebrating good quality, seasonal, whole ingredients to create the comfort of a kitchen away from home. The new Detox Kitchen opens on the 4th January on Fitzroy Place. You can expect a plethora of healthy breakfast options – everything from granola, berries with coconut yogurt to sweetcorn and courgette fritters with avocado salsa. Grab a smoothie while you are there – the Wake Me Up with blueberries, banana and pineapple is totally dreamy.

The Venue: Who Loves You Café is located in the heart of Chelsea. They offer wide a selection of juices that have been specially designed to help improve and maintain one’s health as well as Artisan coffees. The team is dedicated to sourcing premium seasonal ingredients, free from nasties, and strive to use fresh local organic products. Come here for all the healthy breakfast treats – expect blueberry protein waffle, with a generous spoonful of peanut butter, and marinated quinoa, topped with two poached eggs, avocado and kale salad. Dreamy.

The Venue: Healthy Stuff is a shop and cafe started by Marina Biaudet and Benny Logie. Having lived in Dalston for the past ten years, they felt what the area lacked was a decent health food shop. So in January 2011, Healthy Stuff was opened. In starting up Healthy Stuff, they bring together their strengths and passion towards wholesome, healthy food and good quality coffee. It’s great for breakfast –  to keep it simple, order the sourdough toast, which comes with a selection of spreads from the shop including pumpkinseed butter and organic fruit spreads. If you fancy something sweet, try their granola with natural yogurt, blueberries, banana, goji berries and honey. Hell yes.
