This is the news we’ve been waiting for: Friends of Ours have launched their new summer brunch menu. Albeit a little late into summer, but hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day. This is not your standard avo on toast malarky – this is proper, global inspired brunch dishes – with the new menu featuring three vegan dishes. Get 2 know:

Friends of Ours: The Menu

Special diets are catered for in a big way, with the new plant-based offering featuring the poké bowl with hunks of juicy watermelon, red quinoa, nori, pickled red chilli, cucumber caviar (fancy), ponzu, vegan sriracha mayo (you heard it here first), borage flowers, and sesame. There’s also the Middle Eastern spiced cauliflower steak topped with caraway harissa, roast beetroot hummus, pomegranate seeds, chilli almond dukkha, and smoked soya yogurt which is like nothing we’ve ever tried before.

Heading down the Mexican road on their next dish is the tofu tacos – think scrambled tofu crammed in flour tortillas, pimped up with pickled cabbage, vegan lime crema, green apple, coriander and habanero salsa verde.

The 12 hour Beef Brisket Benedict is a must (that tender beef melts in your mouth like fabulous meaty butter) – finished with a just-the-right-amount of spicy, jalapeño hollandaise, fried Jersey royal potatoes, poached egg, radish, and cane glaze.

The next dish is Friends of Our’s pièce de résistance, the crème de la crème, the brunch dish of all brunch dishes: toasted crumpets topped with popcorn chicken nuggets and Tabasco honey butter. It’s like a KFC/Warburtons love child and it’s mad good.

Enough talk about the savoury eats, as there’s a Japanese souffle pancake creation on the menu. A medley of all the flavours – the pancakes are adorned with brûléed apricots, tonka bean and espresso Chantilly cream (like a vanilla- caramel- coffee surprise), smoked almond praline, and espresso caramel sauce. And a Kombucha smoothie bowl with blackforest berries, dragon fruit, hemp protein, bee pollen and omega seeds. Trendy. And delicious.

Friends of Ours have also kept their crowd pleasing buttermilk fried chicken burger on the menu; crispy, crunchy and perfectly seasoned, with a dollop of gochujang hot sauce, ranch dressing and all the classic salad accompaniments.
