There’s a big day in the calendar coming up… National Sandwich Day 2021 (3rd November). Celebrating the humble sandwich in all its beautiful forms – think baguettes, toasties, those fancy ciabatta numbers, club sandwiches (always reminds us of holidays), and other wonders featuring two slices of bread.

For the occasion, two of London’s heavyweights, Cocotte – a collection of sophisticated neighbourhood rotisseries – and small batch, North London bakery Sourdough Sophia have come together to create a limited cheese rotisserie chicken baguette.

Available for two weeks (12-5pm, Tue-Sun from 2nd-14th November), this bready delight is chock-a-block with all kinds of deliciousness.

Sourdough Sophia’s crusty French 1/2 baguette is filled to the brim with a sticky red onion marmalade and shredded free-range rotisserie chicken that’s been marinated overnight in Herbes de Provence, slow-roasted, and coated in truffled mac ‘n’ cheese sauce (ooo-er). It’s then popped in the oven and garnished with a rocket salad. And there’s also the option to add Cocotte’s hearty homemade chicken gravy, for dipping or pouring.
