The Vurger Co.‘s flagship outpost in Shoreditch is turning 4 this month, and to celebrate (in the tastiest way possible), the team are bringing back two of their best selling 100% vegan favourites from past years: the much-loved Fauxzarella Sticks and the adored “Bacon” Mac n Cheese. And the best news? They’re here to stay.
The Vurger Co., the 100% vegan fast food restaurants specialising in soul-satisfying burgers, first began as a small market stall in North London selling its 100% vegan menu, before crowdfunding its first-ever restaurant in Shoreditch in March 2018. Four years later and Shoreditch is joined by restaurants in Canary Wharf and Brighton – as well as a 100% vegan mayo and cheezy sauce range (which is now available on Ocado).
The special birthday dishes making a comeback are the Fauxzarella Sticks (£4.95) – gooey vegan mozzarella coated in a herby crumb and served with your choice of sauce, and the almighty Bacon Mac n’ Cheese – Vurger’s iconic house-made creamy truffle mac and cheese paired with crispy smoky “bacon” lardons. Ooo-er. And while you’re there, don’t miss the Biscoff milkshake. It’s a plant-based dream.
