In a city where every corner seems to offer a new ‘elevated’ take on coffee and cake, Donutelier has stood out by doing something radical…having fun. This National Donut Day, the Carnaby Street destination – part haute pâtisserie, part Willy Wonka fever dream – is leaning all the way into the joy of fried dough with a full-blown Day Party. And if you’re one of the first 100 through the door on Friday, 6th June? Your donut will be on the house.

Doors open at 11:30am, ushering in a day-long celebration of confectionery excess, complete with a live DJ and a prize wheel. At the heart of the event are three freshly minted additions to Donutelier’s Main Collection.

First up: the Berry Macaron — a bougie delight stuffed with rose, raspberry and lychee ganache, crowned with Chantilly cream, a macaron ring and a scattering of berries.

Then there’s the Lemon Meringue, a golden sugar-crusted ring bursting with zesty lemon curd and topped with toasted meringue.

And for those who like their joy chocolate-coated and covered in sprinkles? The Double Chocolate Sprinkles donut is filled with milk Chantilly, drenched in ganache, and unapologetically crowned with a chocolate cookie.

But it doesn’t stop at donuts. Oh no. Donutelier is also launching the Banoffee Pecan Cookie: a banana chocolate dough base (yes, that’s a thing), layered with caramelised banana, toffee caramel, and pecan praline. It’s basically banoffee pie reimagined as a one-handed pleasure bomb.

In a world of carefully curated minimalism, Donutelier is a place that says more is more; more glaze, more ganache, more glitter, more joy. And on June 6th, it’s throwing a party to prove it. Frankly, it’s about time.
