From a new gelato flavours to new vegan takeaway dishes, here’s the best things you need to be eating in London this week. Go forth and always order dessert:

1. For New Flavours: Gelupo

What: Take a tour through the flavours of Asia at Gelupo with their new collection of seven exotic flavours inspired by countries – from China to Japan and Thailand to Malaysia.

Why: Inspired by the quirky flavours of Japan, an antioxidant rich matcha flavour has been created. Japan is also represented by a yuzu gelato, a refreshing, tiny citrus lemon that packs a fresh and sour punch. And the final gelato from Japan is a unique black sesame flavour. A very special durian gelato that hails from Malaysia, known as the ‘king of all fruits’, has been developed with the legendary Malaysian celebrity Chef Wan. The flavour is a combination of savoury, sweet and creamy all in one – a heavenly and slightly intense taste. The tour of Asia rounds off with flavours inspired by Thailand: pandan with green leaf and a mango sticky rice gelato.

Why: The venue’s signature is a roast served with bottomless Yorkshire puddings and a menu of both traditional and unique gravies. The roasts rotate with a different dish served each day, including lamb shoulder, roast corn-fed chicken and pork loin, along with a veggie friendly Wellington. The menu features homely classics, including warming favourites like the beef feather blade bourguignon served with Alsace bacon, chestnut mushrooms and potato puree, and fish and chips, served with mint and Marjoram crushed peas, samphire and anchovy tartare and triple cooked chips. An array of global plates, such as king prawn and coconut curry with steamed basmati rice and green mango pickle and harissa glazed aubergines with freekeh, lentils, and a tahini and low fat yogurt dressing are also available.
