The Lowdown: Burmese restaurant Lahpet has built up a steadfast reputation thanks to its home-spun cooking focusing on the cuisine of Myanmar. No doubt one of the best DIY meal delivery kits; the DIY kits feature some of the most popular dishes on the menu such as the Ohn-no Kauk Swé (coconut noodles with chicken) along with tea leaf salads. Enough for two (generous) portions, the easy-to-follow kit features a pre-made fragrant coconut base pimped up with a range of other ingredients including spring onion, egg, lime and coriander. The Lowdown: The ‘Traditionally Inauthentic’ Ramen joint in Hackney has put together a menu featuring their broth-y delights along with all the sides. Supa Ya Ramen’s at home kits includes tamarind and chipotle braised chicken ramen – roast chicken soup, mushroom soy, confit garlic oil, hand cut noodles, pickled red chillies, green onions and a fudgy egg. For trimmings, there’s bacon fat glazed Brussel sprouts with red pepper powder; buttered miso cabbage with sesame; radish and green chilli salad, ponzu and ginger vinaigrette; soy pickled cucumbers; and spice pickled turnips.
