There’s no denying that peanut butter is something very special, whether it be on toast, pancakes or from a spoon, our love for peanut butter is unconditional. Here’s 5 of our favourite peanut butter smoothies for you to try in London:

1. The Boozy Option: The Mars Attack at The Love Shake

alco-shake_ed's-diner

What: Makers Mark, peanut butter, toffee and chocolate

Taste: Whoever thought to blend peanut butter and bourbon whiskey together, should be knighted. This smoothie is the absolute one.  I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of whiskey, but the alcohol doesn’t overpower the drink and instead gives a subtle boozy hit. Next time try the Oreeto, an outrageously good mix of Amaretto and Oreo Cookie.

Where: 5 Kingsland Road, London, E2 8AA

2. The High-Street Option: Peanut Butter Protein at Tossed

What: Peanut butter, protein shot, banana, milk, fat-free yoghurt

Taste: Known for their salads and juices, Tossed should also be mentioned for their Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie. Rich, creamy and full of flavour, this smoothie is bursting full of protein. The fat free yogurt is a welcome addition making this smoothie thick and delicious. If you’re a fan of passion fruit, their Passionista Smoothie with mango, strawberries, passion fruit, banana and orange juice is dreamy.

Where: Locations across London – Holborn, Southbank and Clerkenwell

3. The Filthy Option: Peanut Butter, Banana and Brownie at Meat & Shake

What: Smooth natural peanut butter, real banana and brownie pieces

Taste: The burgers are sensational, the peanut butter smoothie even better. This smoothie is pure filth, for all the right reasons. Peanut butter mixed with lashings of brownie pieces and banana is always going to win gold stars in our book. Your peanut butter prayers have just been answered – you can thank us later.

4. The Healthy Option: CocoButter at The Good Life Eatery

What: Coconut milk, coconut water, organic peanut butter, dates and Madagascar vanilla

Taste: One of the most healthiest peanut butter smoothies out there, the CocoButter packs the nutty flavour without the calories. The dates and Madagascar vanilla gives the smoothie a sweet kick and best of all, it’s dairy-free. The perfect guilt-free peanut butter smoothie and one of our favourites.

Where: 59 Sloane Avenue, London, SW3 3DH

5. The Easy Option: Peanut Butter Shake at Shake Shack

What: Ice-cream and peanut butter

Taste: This list would’t be complete without an entry from Shake Shack. Thick ice cream hand-spun with peanut butter and a choice of adding malt. We added malt to ours and it was something special. With only three ingredients, this smoothie is no nonsense but still so tasty. It’s like a cross between a Mr Whippy and a peanut butter cup. Total win.
