We love many things about living in London during summer; hitting up your pal’s postage stamp-sized garden for a BBQ, day time drinking, and pub/pavement beer gardens. As it’s warm and we all love a bev in the sunshine, the Tate are bringing their monthly tap takeover outdoors.

Tate Tap Takeover: What to Expect

This month, Tate will be bringing the monthly tap takeover – taking place on the last Thursday of each month – into the sunshine for a special alfresco edition with Wild Beer’s pop-up terrace bar at Tate Modern. With space for your friends, food from the South West, DJ and plenty of tables and chairs to enjoy a refreshing outdoor pint by the river, what more could you ask for?

The Wild Beer Co. was born out of a love of fermentation, barrel-ageing and most importantly, flavour. Beers are brewed with imagination and passion, using modern creative techniques and wild and foraged ingredients, while producing some of the world’s oldest beer styles guaranteed to give you a memorable drinking experience. Set against the backdrop of the Somerset countryside, Wild Beer Co. are a truly farmhouse brewery, sharing their space with Westcombe Dairy.

Tate Tap Takeover: Drink

At this alfresco Tate Tap Takeover, enjoy summery brews from Wild Beer Co.’s exciting range; from fruit beers, to barrel-aged and sour beers alongside their two new gins.

Beers wise, Shika is their new dry hopped lager which will be making its London preview, there’s a chance to sample Breakfast Of Champignons 2018; Wild Beer’s ode to the chanterelle mushroom, and a welcome return to the spicy sourness of Tom Yum Gose. Wild gins Sleeping Lemons and Shnoodlepip (inspired by the Wild beers of the same name and flavour concept) will also be present as will the full can range with NEIPA Nebula and umami inspired Yokai beers.
